From the AP:
Israel plays Croatia on Friday after its 87-83 win over Serbia handed the Serbs their earliest exit from the European Championship in 60 years.

The loss has been labelled a "disaster" by media back home, with coach Zoran Slavnic offering his resignation.

"We fell psychologically and morally while (Israel) could do anything they wanted to," Minnesota Timberwolves guard Marko Jaric said. "I am sorry, but life goes on."

So what's the problem over there? As with some of the recent U.S. teams, getting the best players to participate has been an issue for the Serbs. Darko Milicic and Marko Jaric were the only Serbian NBA players to suit up for Eurobasket, with Peja Stojakovic and Nenad Krstic recuperating from injuries, Sasha Pavlovic unwilling to risk injury without a new contract, and Vladimir Radmanovic off snowboarding or something.

Additionally, Serbia isn't producing as much quality talent as it used to...
