From Jerry Zgoda/Star Tribune:
Timberwolves starting point guard Randy Foye searched for words to describe how his third professional season has started and came up empty Sunday night after he missed all 10 shots he attempted from the field and committed five turnovers in a loss at Oklahoma City.

"I don't know, I don't know," he said. "I don't know."

With Sebastian Telfair suspended for the season's first three games, Wolves coach Randy Wittman has turned to veteran Kevin Ollie at times to run the team at important junctures while Foye has been unable to get the team's offense humming and has shot 3-for-24 in games Saturday against Dallas and on Sunday.

Asked if he would continue to start Foye and allow him to play his way through it, Wittman said, "We don't play until Wednesday."

Seated at his locker, an obviously downcast Foye tried to explain his struggles in a barely audible voice.

"My confidence level is there," he said. "I just can't make a shot. I can't make a shot. It's just tough for me right now, but I'll get through it."

With Sebastian Telfair returning from a three-game NBA suspension, the Wolves have another option at point guard if they decide to make a change.

Determining Foye’s true position and status on the team are incredibly important to the--hopefully--future success of the franchise. He is the player on this team with the most to gain and the most to lose at the same time this season, so watch him closely. Foye is under a lot of pressure this year and after a horrid start to the season, the bricks are piling up on his shoulders.

A prediction/tip/whatever you want to call it from one helpful team exec: "Keep your eye on the Millers. They will be traded if their teams start slowly."

He's referring to Minnesota's Mike Miller and Sacramento's Brad Miller.

If the Wolves do reach the point when they're willing to part with their recently acquired sharpshooter, interest is bound to be higher in Mike Miller, who was so highly coveted at last season's trade deadline...

Kevin Love’s plus-minus, if you believe in such things, dove after he was plus-20 in the opener, even Saturday against Dallas and minus-nine against the Thunder because he was on the floor for that 13-0 run that came right after Jefferson went to the bench late in the third. The blame there, though, goes to three consecutive turnovers on bad passes by Craig Smith, Mike Miller and Foye that gave the Thunder not only a 7-0 burst that ended the quarter, it also gave them hope.

It’s another early measuring stick for the Wolves, who finished 7-34 away from Target Center a year ago but believe they will be a better road team this time around.

“Turnovers is the thing I think about from last year,” forward Ryan Gomes said before Saturday night’s 95-85 loss to Dallas...
