Blogger MVP/ROY Rankings - Edition 3 E-mail

Blogging + Ranking Things in Lists = Awesomness.

The Third Edition (aka Quarter Season) of the Blogger MVP/ROY Rankings is being hosted by The Dream Shake.  They rock.  Check out their website.  We play them this Saturday and YAO is probably shaking with feverish anticipation at the thoughts of taking on the front line of Jefferson, Love, Smith, and Booth... He will probably have at least 73 rebounds.  Anyways, I digress.

EDITION 1
EDITION 2

After careful consideration, I wasn't going to inundate you with my boring rankings and comments decided to post my rankings and comments for my 10 MVP's and 5 Rookies of the Year below:

MVP:
(10 = 1, 9 = 2, 8 = 3 and so on)

10. Devin Harris:  The Nets wouldn’t trade him for Jason Kidd and twenty #1 draft picks.

9.  Brandon Roy:  I traded him in my Western Conference Only Auction Keeper Fantasy Basketball League.  Why did I do that you ask?  I don’t know.

8.  Chauncey Billups:  He has intangibles and stuff like that.  Oh yeah, and he makes the Nuggets win.

7.  Kobe Bryant:  Grumble grumble grumble as much as I’d love to leave him off the list entirely grumble grumble…

6.  Tim Duncan:  What did they do with Greg Popovich?  And why is some bum off the street coaching their team?

5.  Paul Pierce:  Twenty-One and Two!!!!11!!1!  Where is the love?!?!

4.  Dwight Howard:  Some players get “in the zone.”  Howard enters BEASTMODE and destroys everything in his path.

3.  D-Wade:  I was walking down a dimly lit back alley last weekend and I saw some thug jump Wade.  He slashed him with a blade and then ran off.  I could see the wound and there was no blood.  He was bleeding liquid titanium.

2.  Chris Paul:  I’d say “better luck next year”, but LeBron might win the next 12 MVP Awards in a row.

1.  LeBron James: Ok, I finally had to switch it up.  Chris Paul didn’t do anything to “deserve” getting demoted, but LBJ is just too good.  Imagine in a few years when he enters his prime… will anyone ever be able to guard him, or will he just go out and score 50 points per game?  The deciding factor was that the Cavs currently have the second best record in the league, while the Hornets initially struggled out of the gate.

ROY:
(5 = 1, 4 = 2 and so on)

5. Michael Beasley:  Almost took him off the rankings completely, but I didn’t want to hurt his fragile psyche.  I don’t want to be the one responsible for sending him off the deep end.

4. DJ Augustine:  Despite the fact that he’s five-foot nothing, he’s showing everyone what he can do out on the court.  His production has skyrocketed with the increased minutes of late.

3.  Kevin Love:  Double-Double MACHINE.  You can’t stop him; you can only hope to contain him.

2. OJ Mayo:  He gets “Chris Paul’d” this week because Derrick Rose is just that good.

1. Derrick Rose – Has exceeded my pre-season expectations in every imaginable way.  And this is coming from a person that would have drafted him #1 overall dating back to the beginning of the last NCAA season.

In my defense, I voted before the Wolves last two games... hence the apparent "overranking" of KLove. If I could take that back, I would.

I'd rather have Marc Gasol than Love
