Wolves record: 10-25

Foye tied his career high with 32 points, including 18 in the first quarter for the Wolves (10-25), who led from wire to wire in notching their sixth win in their past eight games and first four-game winning streak since Jan. 1-7, 2007.

The victory was the second biggest win in Wolves history, behind only a 127-74 rout of Chicago on Nov. 8, 2001...

Those 42 first-quarter points are a season high for Minnesota, which set another for a half in stretching the lead to 72-43.

Foye scored 18 points in the first quarter, including three three-pointers, and didn't miss a shot until nearly four minutes were gone in the second.

His effort came a night after being Johnny on the spot Tuesday in Memphis on both ends of the court in the final two minutes. He hit one key shot and blocked another against the Grizzlies.

Against the Thunder, no last-possession heroics were needed; Sebastian Telfair was the only Wolves starter to see time in the fourth quarter.

Ever since Foye has been moved primarily to shooting guard, the production gap has narrowed. Foye has averaged 25.3 points in the last three games and has flourished since McHale took over for coach Randy Wittman on Dec. 8.

"Foye is a terrific player,'' Brooks said. "He had a hot hand. We could've done a better job of keeping him out of the paint and contesting his shots.''

20 Double-doubles for the Wolves' Al Jefferson this season, including four in a row.

From Jonah Ballow and Matt Everhart/Timberwolves site:
-- Kevin Love put up a double-double in the fourth quarter alone with 11 points and 11 rebounds, an impressive feat even considering most of the final 12 minutes was what many fans call "garbage time". He finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds, his sixth double-double of the season...

-- Rashad McCants also saw some playing time, his first minutes since the game against the Warriors on January 2. Despite the fact that McCants is averaging 9.9 points per game and is one of the Wolves most dynamic scorers, the Wolves are actually 6-2 when McCants either does not play or does not score.

Great fan reaction when Mark Madsen checked into the game and played the final 7 minutes. Man, what a cult following he has. This guy could knit a doily and someone around here would cheer it on. Oh to be that loved.
