Randy Foye scored 19 points, and the Minnesota Timberwolves snapped a three game skid with a 116-111 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.

Sebastian Telfair and Ryan Gomes each scored 16 points, Kevin Love had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Al Jefferson had 12 points and 15 rebounds for the Timberwolves.

Danny Granger scored 28 points, Mike Dunleavy scored 20 and Troy Murphy added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Pacers, who have lost back-to-back home games.



For more than three quarters, though, it looked like they might once again come up short.

Then they hit the gas, coming from nine points down with 9:34 to play and holding on for a 116-111 victory over the Indiana Pacers at half-empty Conseco Fieldhouse.

Randy Foye had 19 points and Ryan Gomes added 16 for the Wolves (17-30), who committed two turnovers in the final 21.4 seconds but survived thanks to two missed free throws and a missed layup by T.J. Ford.



The Timberwolves lost starting power forward Craig Smith late in the first quarter of tonight’s game at Indiana.

Smith suffered bruised ribs with 44 seconds left in the period while fouling the Pacers’ Troy Murphy.

• They shoot nearly 60 percent in the first half and trail by three points at intermission, and they win.

• Randy Foye commits the most turnovers (nine) by a Minnesota player in nine years, and they win.

• They trail by nine points with nine minutes left, lead by six with less than 30 seconds left and then do everything possible to lose, and they still win.
