Game previews:

Though the Wolves are 1-6 since Jefferson last played, Gomes and guard Mike Miller have especially increased their scoring.

Entering tonight's game with Portland, Gomes has averaged 22.6 points over the past five games playing at power forward. He has scored at least 20 in each, a career-high streak.

Gomes had only four games of 20-plus points prior to Feb. 18 at Miami.

McHale used 11 players in the loss to Utah but still hasn't found any minutes for forward Shelden Williams, who was picked up in last week's trade with Sacramento.

"We're still trying to figure out how we're going to play with who," McHale said. "I do not like playing 11 guys. I'd rather play nine guys more minutes. That's where we've got to get better at getting our rotations down. Nine or 10 guys is ideal for me."
