Kahn said the basketball staff would meet Saturday afternoon and all day today as draft preparations intensify.

Briefly: Among the point guards expected to work out Friday morning are Brandon Jennings (Italy), Jrue Holliday (UCLA) and Jonny Flynn (Syracuse).

Memphis point guard Tyreke Evans and Southern California forward DeMar DeRozan are expected to work out individually Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, respectively.

New Timberwolves President David Kahn is the scheduled featured speaker at the Dunkers Club breakfast Wednesday at the Minneapolis Club...

A little birdie says former Detroit Pistons star Bill Laimbeer would love the Timberwolves' head-coaching job.

The Legends For Kids Celebrity sports clinics continued Saturday in Sioux Falls as the celebrity basketball camp was held at Washington High School.

Once again, former Mitchell standout Mike Miller was back home to offer pointers on the game he loves. Joining Miller this year was former Roosevelt and Wisconsin standout Joe Krabbenhoft and former UCLA coach Steve Lavin.

Miller completed his first season with the Minnesota Timberwolves this past season where, for the first time in his career, he didn't average double digits in points as he finished with a career low 9.9 points a game.

But he said the fact he was able to play close to home made this year one of the more memorable ones for him, despite the career low in points.
