The Free Press has learned that former Pistons star Bill Laimbeer is expected to resign as the head coach of the WNBA defending champion Shock this afternoon following an immensely successful 6 1/2-year run.


ClickOnDetroit.com's Rob Parker has confirmed Shock coach Bill Laimbeer is pursuing an opportunity in the NBA.


A little birdie says former Detroit Pistons star Bill Laimbeer would love the Timberwolves' head-coaching job.


A little birdie says that if Kevin McHale remains the Timberwolves' coach, which now seems likely, he'll be required to hire a former NBA head coach as his top assistant for in-depth help. The Wolves will provide McHale with a list of candidates from whom to choose.
