The fate of Timberwolves' top draft pick, point guard Ricky Rubio, isn't expected to be resolved for a month. There are all sorts of gamesmanship being played by Rubio's representation, his Spanish DKV Joventut team and the Wolves.

— The Wolves' new coach — broadcaster Mark Jackson still seems to be the favorite — can expect a four-year contract for about $8 million. Larry Brown of the Charlotte Bobcats and Donnie Walsh of the New York Knicks are said to be recommending Jackson.
