From Kevin Arnovitz/TrueHoop: Day Three Summer League Roundup
Jonny Flynn communicates to his team on every offensive possession. He choreographs, directs, goads, and encourages. When teammates need to move from the weak to the strong side for an entry pass, Flynn barks out an order -- and he's almost always right. Flynn coughed the ball up seven times on Sunday against seven assists, but his management skills are there.

The criticism of Flynn going into this draft was that he’d be unable to finish over the 7-footers in the League. For a story we’re working on, I asked a Timberwolves scout about the validity of that analysis. He was adamant that Jonny will be fine finishing in the lane, as he loves to “cut the length out” from a big guy by drawing contact.

From Trevor Peterson/WDAY:
Ben Woodside was supposed to make his NBA summer league debut today, as the Timberwolves squad he's a part of took the court for the first time in Las Vegas.

He ended up taking the first did not play-coaches decision of his career. Of the 13 players on the Wolves team, Woodside was the only one that didn't get in the game.

From Travis Heath/Hoopsworld: Vegas: Jonny Flynn Discusses Rubio
Of course, any hope of seeing a Flynn-Rubio backcourt next season would require some kind of resolution to Rubio's ongoing contractual issues with DKV Joventut of the Spanish ACB League.

"He's my teammate and I would love for him to come over and play with me, but that's out of my hands," said Flynn.  "Whenever I hear something about it, you take it that day, you soak it in, then you work on what you've got to do to get better.  I hope we get this resolved and whatever happens I hope for the best for him."

When asked if he planned to reach out to Rubio in an attempt to ensure he makes it to Minnesota next season, Flynn responded: "I don't know.  That's a tricky situation.  I don't want to get into it like that.  I know the Minnesota Timberwolves are talking to him a lot, and I just sit back and let them do all of the talking."

From Malaga Hoy (link and translation via Hoopshype):
"Yes, the truth is we have spoken with Unicaja about the possibility of Ricky joining the team," agent German Gonzalez said...

Gonzalez said Real Madrid, Efes Pilsen, Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are also interested.

From Marca.com (link and translation via Hoopshype):
FC Barcelona is now also in the mix for Ricky Rubio
