Ben Woodside was supposed to make his NBA summer league debut today, as the Timberwolves squad he's a part of took the court for the first time in Las Vegas.
He ended up taking the first did not play-coaches decision of his career. Of the 13 players on the Wolves team, Woodside was the only one that didn't get in the game.
"He's my teammate and I would love for him to come over and play with me, but that's out of my hands," said Flynn. "Whenever I hear something about it, you take it that day, you soak it in, then you work on what you've got to do to get better. I hope we get this resolved and whatever happens I hope for the best for him."
When asked if he planned to reach out to Rubio in an attempt to ensure he makes it to Minnesota next season, Flynn responded: "I don't know. That's a tricky situation. I don't want to get into it like that. I know the Minnesota Timberwolves are talking to him a lot, and I just sit back and let them do all of the talking."
Gonzalez said Real Madrid, Efes Pilsen, Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are also interested.
