League executives long have considered Jackson the favorite, but those in the know in the league think Rambis is getting strong consideration.

Right now, I’d make Jackson the slight favorite, if only because it might be easier to get him to sign on the dotted line in terms of years and salary on a contract.

Kahn returned from Spain Saturday and called his time there working for Ricky Rubio’s release from DKV Joventut “productive” but declined further comment.

In regards to Spanish reports that Rubio is close to signing with a Madrid team, he pointed out that Joventut officials denied the report and reminded that Rubio doesn’t sign anywhere until that buyout is settled.

Brian Scalabrine of the Boston Celtics and Gerald Henderson, a first-year player for the Charlotte Bobcats who is eligible to be assigned to the Maine Red Claws are among the NBA standouts who are attending the Play for Peace basketball clinic at the Seeds of Peace International Camp today...

The other NBA stars include draft picks Tyreke Evans (Sacramento Kings), Gerald Henderson (Charlotte Bobcats) and vets Wayne Ellington (Minnesota Timberwolves), Jordan Farmar (LA Lakers) and former WNBA star Barbara Turner (Connecticut Sun).

Former Tar Heel and Timberwolves choice Ellington added: "I want to go and learn more about this. I know a little about the Middle East conflict. It's definitely an experience that's worth going to and take some time doing."

Henderson and Ellington are taking part in the Play for Peace basketball clinic Monday, along with 140 Israeli, Palestinian, Egyptian, Jordanian and American youth. Also scheduled to participate are Seeds of Peace veterans Brian Scalabrine (Celtics) and Jordan Farmar (Lakers), rookie Tyreke Evans (Kings) and former WNBA star Barbara Turner.

Arm Tellem, agent of both Henderson and Ellington, recruited the two rookies to take part in a camp close to his heart. Tellem is the president of Wasserman Media Group Management and a Seeds of Peace board member. The yearly camp, which focuses on leadership and conflict resolution, is located in Otisfield, Maine.
