Meanwhile, the Barcelona El Regal Barca team on Tuesday increased its offer to DKV Joventut to buy out Rubio's contract from $3.24 million to $4.23 million, according to the Mundo Deportivo newspaper. DKV Joventut has an offer from Real Madrid for Rubio's contract for $4.93 million, but Rubio reportedly wants to remain in Barcelona unless he is able to play in the NBA.

Grgurich's annual camp in Vegas has attracted dozens of NBA's best young stars. Witnesses say Flynn, Harden, Jennings, E. Gordon look great.

From Howlin' T-Wolf: Early Thoughts on the Schedule

The Wolves' schedule includes one four-game homestand and a pair of four-game road trips. They will play 19 sets of back-to-back games, down from 21 last season.

They are scheduled to appear on national television twice:

• A Nov. 27 home game against Phoenix on ESPN the night after Thanksgiving.

• An NBA TV home game against Washington -- with former Wolves coach Flip Saunders and former players Randy Foye and Mike Miller -- on Dec. 26.

From Chris Sheridan/ESPN:
The countdown to the next NBA lockout began in a way Tuesday, with commissioner David Stern and a group of 10 team owners making it abundantly clear that they will not extend the current labor deal into the 2011-12 season.

The owners met with players' union representatives for nearly 3½ hours at a Manhattan hotel in the first formal round of collective bargaining talks toward the next NBA labor agreement.
..

The owners were represented by Peter Holt of the San Antonio Spurs, the head of their labor negotiating committee, James Dolan of the New York Knicks, Jeannie Buss of the Los Angeles Lakers, Dan Gilbert of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wyc Grousbeck of the Boston Celtics, Clay Bennett of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Robert Sarver of the Phoenix Suns, Glen Taylor of the Minnesota Timberwolves, George Shinn of the New Orleans Hornets and Portland Trail Blazers president Larry Miller.
