As one would expect, when highly touted Spanish teenager Ricky Rubio spurned the Minnesota Timberwolves last week and elected to stay in Spain for at least the next two years, the blame game began in earnest. But the truth is both sides share the shame here.

The Timberwolves signed Ramon Sessions to a $16 million offer sheet for his unselfishness, not shooting. Last season with the Milwaukee Bucks, the point guard hit just 6 of 34 (17.6 percent) three-point shots but averaged 5.7 assists a game. In three years at Nevada, Sessions attempted only 80 three-pointers and made 25...

The Timberwolves are endorsing former radio analyst Kevin Lynch for the Gophers men's basketball radio analyst job. Lynch lost the position with the Wolves because of an economic cutback.

In two years the Kings will likely still need a point guard, and Rubio probably will still be lagging behind Minnesota rookie Jonny Flynn, still pressing the T-wolves for a trade.
