Where Do We Go From Here?

Written by College Wolf on .

The unthinkable happened. The Minnesota Timberwolves traded their heart and soul, Kevin Garnett. I knew it could happen, I just didn’t think this time would finally come. After 12 wonderful years, Garnett is gone. Our KG is now the Boston Celtic’s KG. What do we do now?

CW's TWolves Roster Reform Program

Written by College Wolf on .

Do you ever wish you were in control of a NBA team?  I mean, total and complete control within the grasp of your fingertips to do as you see fit?  I wish that upon myself once or twice every day.  I often ponder to myself just how exactly the current Front Office of the Minnesota Timberwolves continues to remain in charge of the day to day operations.

College Wolf's 2007 Mock Lottery Draft and Analysis

Written by College Wolf on .

Well, I’ve been following all the trade and draft rumors this year more dilligently than I ever have in the past.  With less than one week to go, I figured why not come out with some predictions and analysis of what I think each of the 14 lottery teams will (and should) do.  I could write-up the entire first round, but predicting the late stages of the first round in the NBA draft is next to impossible. It’s harder to do than Sebastion Telfair trying to get through a metal detector.  And seeing as how the Wolves are drafting #7, I don’t think too many people are all too interested in what Utah does with pick number twenty-five.  I am however, very interested in how the lottery pans out.  This draft is incredibly deep, and I could make a case for the Wolves wanting each and every player that is among the first 14 drafted.   With that said, let’s begin:

What's a Win Worth?

Written by College Wolf on .

This cesspit of a season is finally over, with not much for Wolves fans to look forward to other than the draft lottery on Tuesday and the subsequent draft.  Perhaps some fans are enviously watching the playoff games (and seeing how truly far from “it” the Wolves squad is.)  Personally, as a fan of basketball and the NBA in general, I have been watching the playoff games with eager anticipation.  While not as exciting as the playoffs were last year, overall they’ve still been pretty exciting.  You had the upstart Warriors trying to shock the world, and Lebron is doing his best D-Wade impersonation by leading the Cavs to the conference finals. If I had to bet on it, I’d say we are looking at a rematch of the 2004-05 Pistons-Spurs finals.

Musings of a Wolves Fan: Wolves vs Seattle 3.27.07

Hmmm….  Good thing I was less than sober last night. That made this epic implosion much easier to stomach.  By the end we were definitely shaking our heads and laughing (manically, I might add.)

Second Half Power Rankings

Written by College Wolf on .

Feel free to hate on me. I’m know that I’m not even close to my ideal once per month output. Hopefully I can pick it up here at the end of the season. Sometimes ya just get busy though. No excuse, I know… This update will be similar to my beginning of the season Power Rankings. While the All-Star break is not technically the middle of the season game-wise, it’s considered the half-way point. I know, doesn’t make sense. no comments

Was Casey "Thrown Under the Bus" by McHale? Not Exactly…

Written by College Wolf on .

“With the firing of Head Coach Dwane Casey, there has been plenty of dissent.  Listening to the barrage undertaken by KFAN yesterday (Barreiro, Sludge and Lake) it has become apparent that most of the blame has been lifted from the hands of Casey; as if the blood upon his hands has been wiped clean.  With this, it seems McHale has proceeded to be the one who has continuously rolled in the blood of our slaughtered Wolves.

(Discombobulated) Musings of a Wolves Fan: Pistons (1/15)

Written by College Wolf on .

Ok, here’s how this one’s going down.  Obviously Bonk and I weren’t at the game as it was at the Palace in Auburn Hills.  Anyhow… I was enjoying…..ummm…*soda’s* during this game.  So, my thoughts are unedited and unadulterated.  Here’s my objective quarter by quater breakdown of tonight’s festitivites:

Musings of a Wolves Fan: Clippers (1/10/07)

Written by College Wolf on .

Well, I rolled to the Wolves game last night with Bonk, and I’ve got some thoughts I’d like to share.  You won’t find any sugar coating or fluff pieces from me, so if that’s what you’re looking for you’ll have to continue your search elsewhere.

Updated NBA Power Rankings: 12.11.06

Written by College Wolf on .

I know, I know… I’ve been slacking. I really wanted to do a Power Rankings every two weeks or so, but I’ve been busier than I would like lately. However, I promise I’ll update them at least once a month minimum. That’s not too much to ask, is it?
