Kevin Love talked to Lavelle E. Neal III/KFAN this afternoon about the summer league from Las Vegas. Click here to listen.

Newly acquired Rodney Carney sat out the final session of two-a-day practices Sunday evening because of a sore hamstring that could keep him sidelined for tonight’s Vegas summer-league opener against Dallas. No. 1 draft pick Kevin Love watched the final 30 minutes from a chair after getting kneed in the thigh, but he’s expected to play...

The Wolves summer-league team lacks scorers and is short after big men Kaniel Dickens, a NBA Developmental All Star, and Blaine’s own Patrick O’Bryant, now an unrestricted free agent after a failed stint with Golden State, declined to play for them...

After almost a year of competition in Ukraine’s Euroleague, former University of Portland point guard Pooh Jeter is back in United States for another shot at the Las Vegas Summer League.

Jeter, 24, will suit up for the Minnesota Timberwolves alongside former UCLA forward Kevin Love and ex-Duck guard Bryce Taylor.

As a Pilot, the 5-11 Jeter led the team in scoring his junior and senior years and finished his career as the school’s second-all time leading scorer.

Update:
Maurice Brooks/TrueHoop on Kevin Love:
The 6-foot-10 bruiser appears a little too small to play center, and not yet strong enough to play power forward. Also, I've read a lot where people think the quickness of the game might be a problem.

Love's biggest asset is his technique. He may not dominate the glass tonight, but eventually he'll figure out the little tricks of the trade and I see him splitting time successfully at both the 4 and the 5.

We'll see if he can shake the "good skills but not athletic enough for the NBA" label. With all of the hopes and dreams the Timberwolves and their fans have invested in Love, this is the first chance to see what he can actually do.
