UNC has produced a young crop of NBA talent as well. Raymond Felton has finished in the top 10 in the league in assists during his first two seasons; Marvin Williams has helped transform the Atlanta Hawks into playoff contenders, and Rashad McCants was the Minnesota Timberwolves' second-leading scorer this season. Sean May and Brandan Wright are also former Tar Heels who look to play a significant role on their teams next season.

...Carlisle arrived in Dallas on Thursday with his family. Both he and the Mavericks expected a Friday news conference. Carlisle was joined in town by the two former NBA head coaches -- Dwane Casey and Terry Stotts -- who will be hired as assistants on his new staff.
