All I have to say is that if Dwane Casey is still the head coach when I wake up in the morning…
I don’t even know what I’ll do, but it won’t be good. I know it was the players playing and not the coach, but where were the timely timeouts? Where were the offensive sets? Where was any semblance of a game plan or an attempt to stop the bleeding before things got out of hand?
34-7 is on the coach.

As the calender turned over to 2005 for the Timberwolves and Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell remained disgruntled, I felt the need to rally the troops for the remainder of the season in any small way I could. This article urged the Wolves and their fans to keep striving for excellence, despite our sluggish start. It’s #7 of my Top 10 favorite Timberwolves articles.

After getting blown out in Game 1 of their first round series with the Lakers, the Timberwolves struck back with one of their most memorable games in history. The article covering that game is #8 in my Top 10 favorite Wolves articles.

After waking up this morning, I realized that I had totally killed my opportunity to properly mock the Bucks new color scheme last night. In my haste to wrap things up quickly, I photoshopped a red nose on the existing mascot. In retrospect, what I should’ve done is take the extra five minutes to put together this logo. Much funnier.

As we count down to Christmas, I thought it would be a fun idea to highlight some of my favorite Timberwolves Den articles from past sesaons. The plan is to release a countdown my Top 10 pieces, with my #1 favorite posted on the 25th. Yeah, it’s a little cheesy, but I thought it would be a good way to introduce some of the newer visitors to some of the big moments of the past.

Oh. my. goodness. I have been saying for years that the Denver Nuggets were just a huge group of classless thugs. For those of you who were on the fence regarding this issue, I rest my case after tonight. If the gigantic brawl that took place in Madison Square Garden wasn’t proof enough, I don’t know what was. To deny this fact now would prove that you’re as ignorant as those who say the holocaust is a myth and Neil Armstrong never landed on the moon.

In other news, the Timberwolves choked away another game in their disgraceful loss to the Bucks. It was bad enough they blew a fat lead, missed key free throws down the stretch, and that trailing by one with seconds to go, Mike James inexplicably decided to lightly touch a Bucks player who was wide open on a fast break, forcing an And-1 and putting the Wolves down 4 instead of 3 - Awful. But what makes things worse is that we lost to the Milwaukee Reindeer.

Just when the Timberwolves start to gel and look like a team with some promise, along comes the possibility of acquiring Allen Iverson. Although many fans are excited about the possibility of acquiring a perrenial all-star to pair with Kevin Garnett, I can’t help but wonder if any good can come of these new trade rumors.

When I started TWolvesBlog.com, I intended it to be an extension of my Timberwolves coverage on DeROK.Net. I didn’t want or have the time to write a full-blown article every day, so using the blog format for quick thoughts and daily links and keeping DeROK.Net as the source for my major articles seemed like the perfect fit. I expected to cater to a small audience of Timberwolves fans and hopefully grow the site into a popular destination for Wolves fans
