I was checking out The Onion's website, and spotted this great article about the reason KG stayed in Minnesota for so many years.

The Wolves are entering a new era, and KG is leaving us with 12 years of great memories.  Here are some memorable Garnett moments that come to mind:

Those of you who read my little bio thingy know that I'm one of 78 people nationwide who bought Troy Hudson's album, "Undrafted," in its first week of release.  I was also one of the 38 people in Minneapolis who bought it.

I saw a thread on another message board that got me thinking.  This Wolves rube walked into the MOA Apple Store, and saw Corey Brewer and Chris Richard there.  So after reading his story, I started to remember some encounters I've had with famous people...and all of them were awkward.

I was feeling unusually positive about the Wolves following the KG deal. Things finally seemed to be looking up for them, once they'd added a group of talented young players through the trade. But a day or two went by, and a depressing thought suddenly hit me: "Oh yeah, Wittman's still the coach. Crap."

Just in case you didn't know, when you're a sports blogger you get a lot of respect. It's instant credibility in the journalism world because they don't just hand out blogs to anyone that signs up. It took me three or four applications before I got my blog.

The Futures lines are out for the 2007-08 NBA Champion. If gambling were legal, I’d offer some insight into who is going to win it all. But since gambling isn’t legal… ah, who am I kidding. I love gambling. The legality of it is a minor obstacle, much like an annoying gnat that won’t leave me alone.

Wolves coach Randy Wittman has three options at point guard — Randy Foye, Marko Jaric and Telfair. Wittman wants to use Foye more as an off-guard and scorer, and Jaric lost the point guard job two years ago, although he does offer defense at the position.

The unthinkable happened. The Minnesota Timberwolves traded their heart and soul, Kevin Garnett. I knew it could happen, I just didn’t think this time would finally come. After 12 wonderful years, Garnett is gone. Our KG is now the Boston Celtic’s KG. What do we do now?
