It's blatantly obvious that you have not seen the games. KG is the ONLY Celtic to show up at all this series. If not for him they would have been swept by now. Don't hate unless you actually know whats going on. Thanks.

If you read the article...that is what ESPN is saying....He was missing in the second half...even when he is on the court...

Not even my words...words for ESPN...

Ok, my mistake. I didn't read the article because I just thought it was a boxscore and you were mocking KG.

Sorry about that.

Re:Missing Ticket?? 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago Howls: 22
I've watched a lot of playoff basketball over the years and this might seriously be the worst series I've ever seen. All these two teams do is shoot jump shots. Due to Pierce having that nagging injury he's trying to shrug off, all of the scorers on the Celtics are jump shooters (albeit, good ones) and the Cavs, minus one obvious exception, are a series of jump shooters and offensively inept bigs. Neither team has a point guard that can drive the break and neither coach is doing his team any favors. It seems like a whole lot of iso's. It's like watching the Knicks play the Knicks.

That being said, in every game the Celtics allow the Cavs to stay close, they're in big trouble.

I'm no longer sure if I should be routing for the Celtics. Thinking ahead I think a Pistons/Cavs series might be better than Pistons/Celtics.

I don't think the Celtics will have any success getting to the rim against the Pistons and I don't see 4 games of lights out jump shooting for Boston. It could happen but I wouldn't put money on it.

The Daddy has to break it down for you all...

I think it's COACHING.

The Celtics can play at a high level. I doubt they get blown out again, maybe I'm wrong. However, as I stress here in this corporate world, the difference between good and great is in the details.

Teams are a reflection of their coaches and their best players. Correct me if I'm wrong but this team leans towards "KG" quicker than it leans toward "The Truth" or anybody else. If that is the case, Doc needs to be confident and convincing toward the team of this. Pierce needs to relish as KG's Manu/Parker and realize that "The Ticket" is his ticket to a title. I am not being overly biased toward KG, but in a half court set, The following almost ALWAYS happens:
1) The opposite post defender devotes much of his attention to KG, allowing Perk, Powe, etc. to position themselves for either a rebound or a pass.
2) One or two of the wing defenders are going to get lost trying to see "man and ball."

SO. Since KG is a 50% GF shooter, half his shots are going in. The ones that aren't are very reboundable (not a word) shots for the wing who has the "sleeper" on him and for the post man. Simple. If the double comes, KG has this nifty strength called passing.

Now, this will NOT work working the ball through Pierce. He can't see the double teams as well and doesn't pass as well. Also, since no coach will demand KG stays low, we know he'll be on the elbow waiting to shoot so you lose your 7 ft rebounder, instead Rondo is in there... Also, in these playoffs, the Cavs haven't doubled Pierce much as they've held him in check alright.

Now...all that is simple. Just do it Glen Rivers. Rondo is NOT an allstar, please limit his creativity. Let me continue to be himself, but he is NOT to take defenders 1 on 3 anymore, agreed? thanks. Also, Ray loves to spot up on the break, Pierce loves to barrel down the lane, and Rondo loves to zoom down the court....(Pssst, Glen - that means stop walking the ball up the court everytime). Lastly, If anyone was paying any attention, it was clear that KG, Pierce, Sam, and Posey to a lesser extent were DEAD tired in the fourth and were about as useful as bubblegum on the bottom of my shoe....They played so hard defensively, they had nothing left. The answer, run The Daddy's offense so that they get a boost from adrenaline and have a cushion.

THE END...

Pt. 2 to come.

Great post Daddy, completely agree.

As I've said in the "KG Casts", Doc didn't become a great coach overnight. He was a terrible coach the last few seasons and he still is (in terms of X's and O's that is. He's a great "Players Coach") Anyhow, anybody could win games when you put KG, RA, and PP on the same team. That's why people think Doc is a "good" coach. He really isn't. He never was.

Beautiful Daddy, beautiful. I already gave my howl away to StopNPop for his words on OJ in the NBA forum, or you be gettin big ups from me. The lack of touches KG got and the overall lack of offensive flow by the C's in the 2nd half were inexcusable. It's not that difficult of a game. Does Doc even try to make adjustments or strategically coach at ALL?

That was such an ugly 2nd half on both sides of the offensive court, and although some of it should be attributed to good half-court defense by both teams, some of it also absolutely has to be stemmed to horrific offense and a large part of that was 2 coaching hacks failing to adjust or innovate or use their brains on the fly. That was a longass sentence, but I hope you get the point.

Give me part 2 Daddy, the world needs to hear it before game 5 tomorrow...

I'm not sure if I want to see the Celtics win this series anymore either.

I'd much rather see Part 2 of Lebron torching the Pistons rather than the Celtics getting beat up on by the Pistons.

C'mon everyone... C's got home court. They can go 16-12 throughout the Playoffs! Believe!
