NBA Draft Lottery Preview 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Howls: 22
I wrote an NBA Draft Lottery Preview:

Check out the podcasts tonight and the TWolvesBlog for more draft lottery reactions. I think there is a live blog of the draft lottery and some podcasts planned.

I loved that you mentioned that SI article. I'd read that thing probably 3 or 4 times before the draft and 5 or 6 times after it. The only article close is the SI article on Randy Moss before his season at Marshall that put him on the map.

I remember that one, too. I also remember being super pumped after we got Moss. I bought Madden 99 as soon as it came out and Moss was number 88 in that game.

My favorite SI article ever was "The Ultimate Gamer" about Jack Morris' 10 innings of shutout ball. When I was 11, I just didn't appreciate what a feat that was.

If you have some time, to any Minnesota sports, especially Twins fans, read this. I still get goose bumps when I think about Danny Gladden stomping on home. Maybe it's because 1991 is the only time that I vividly recall any team here winning anything (I remember 1987, just not that well, I was only 7).

WR #18

Was Madden NFL 1999 Moss WR#18? Both games had it wrong that year. NFL Gameday had the wrong number, too, but I thought they used WR#18 and Madden used WR#88. Maybe it was the other way around, but I know Moss started camp with a different number than 84, then switched it for the regular season. I can't find the rosters online anywhere. Bummer.

I was told that Moss started the preseason with 18 and moved to 84 by the time the season started. My guess is that someone else was wearing 84 until they were cut.

Gameday probably used 88 because it is a common WR number.

NIcely done Old Logo.

I can hardly take it anymore... the suspense is killing me....................

P.S. Moss's first number was indeed #18 in real life. Not sure about on Madden.

Yeah, great job Jeremy. I love hearing about throwback Wolves history. Things always seem so much more monumental when you're a kid.
