Potential #3 Draft Pick Analysis Thread 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago Howls: 87
Let's start it off with some sick OJ Mayo Youtubage:

Please try to post potential player videos/highlights/stats/pick predictions/etc in this thread so we don't have too much clutter in the Wolves Forum. Thanks~

As of this single moment in time, Mayo is my pick. Of course it is subject to change depending on Free Agents coming or going, trades, etc.

Just to try to sprinkle some positivity into the situation, I think the draft order is going to change at some point. During workouts, there's always a couple of standouts (usually the kind of standouts we pass on...), but there's always a team between the 4-14 pick that works someone out and sees something they like and starts considering moving up. At some point, this may make our pick marketable and create a situation where we might be able to move some bad contracts (Marko) or attitudes (McCants) out of town.

On second thought, this just sucks. Back to sulking.

Why isn't anyone mentioning Jerryd Bayless? He seems to be pretty good too. Are we that dead set on Foye as our PG of the future?

There is a mad rush to the forum to debate who we should pick at #3. #1 and #2 would have been easy but this is not. We have over a month to decide. In the meantime everyone will be showing up for workouts and to show off their skills. A lot can be learned from these. Don't you remember last year when Al Thorton came to town? He dominated the workouts and overpowered everyone else in rebounding and scoring. So we picked Corey Brewer.

I don't know of anyone on this forum who buys that Bayless is a PG.

I thought we were talking about taking the BPA? If we aren't then Lopez is a lock. But if we are taking the BPA most people seem to have agreed on Mayo. What I am pointing out is that Bayless also has a ton of talent and at least deserves some discussion of how he would fit into our system.

I agree with you on the BPA (Mayo) and Best fit (Lopez). Honestly... anyone else probably just increases the chance that we draft a Bust.

Completely opposite from:

McFail loving Foye so much after workouts that he pulled rank on the rest of the FO, who wanted Roy.

Look how that turned out.

Chuck Norris once challenged Lance Armstrong in a "Who has more testicles?" contest.

Chuck Norris won by 5.

Interesting little annoying tidbit that is completely unrelated. If we had lost one more game, the chances of our winning the lottery would have risen from 13.8% to 15.6%. The difference? 1.8 percent. What were the chances of the bulls winning the lottery? 1.7%. Just some food for thought

If you like that, this will blow your mind (whether everyone refuses to acknowledge this or not):

Last year we tied with the Blazers for 6/7th worst record. Well, after the lotto combinations were drawn, they are "tied" to each respective numbered place. As it turns out, Portland was 6th and the 6th place was the spot that won the #1 pick. Simple right, Portland wins and we had the 7th pick.

Well....

1) We beat Portland on KG's buzzer beater last season. If we would not have won that game, we would have had the 6th worst record and Portland 7th worst.

2) Since we were tied recordwise at the end of the season, we had to do a coin flip... which we lost. That gave us the 7th spot, rather than the 6th spot which won the lotto.

So, if we would have lost to Portland OR won that coin flip, we would have won the lotto last year. Bummer.

Lets draft Kevin Love and force him to wear jersey #69.

I'm halfway serious here.

Since Jarred Allen is #69 there would be a legitimate reason for a local sports fan to have not one but two #69 jerseys. It might be time for Joe Mauer and Mikko Koivu to rethink his jerseys too.
