Here are the games I have my eye on attending this upcoming year.

Nov. 15 - Portland (ODEN!)
Nov. 21 - Boston (KG!)
Nov. 26 - Phoenix (My bro's "other" team)
Dec. 17 - Cleveland (LEBRON!)
Dec. 27 - Orlando (Howard vs. El Jefe up close)
Jan. 7 - Oklahoma (DURANT!)
Jan. 13 - Miami (We can lose our way to three 1st rounder this year.)
Jan. 23 - New Orleans (CP3!)
Jan. 30 - Los Angeles Lakers (KOBE! Plus two days before my birthday)
Feb. 22 - Los Angeles Lakers (see above)
Feb. 27 - Portland (see above)
March 9 - Washington (A team built specifically for people who are obsessed with NBA basketball to follow.)
March 22 - Oklahoma (see above)
April 11 - Phoenix (see above)

Also for this season and the forseeable future, I will also be not attending any Minnesota-Memphis games, watching any Memphis games on TV, reading about Memphis games online or in the newspaper and listening to music by Elvis who was from Memphis.

It's bad enough that we passed on Rudy Gay but then we gave them OJ Mayo. Either of those guys playing like we all know they can would cut like a knife and I for one am guzzling the haterade.

November 7, Fri @ Sacramento 9:00pm

Woohoo!! I'm so glad that the Wolves always get to come to Sacramento around this time. My birthday's November 10, last year I finally got to go to my first Wolves game live here in Sacramento. Although it's off by 3 days, I'm definitely gonna find a way to go to this game this year!

I don't know much about how national TV networks decide what games they air. But if the NBA wants to make a good impression with all its fans it'd consider working it into their contracts with these networks that every team gets at least one nationally televised game per season, or tops every two seasons.

As a lonely Wolves fan in the Big Apple, frankly I'm ticked off at how this went down. I guess it's not all bad, though, least they play the Nets two days after my birthday, and the Knicks at MSG a day after Christmas.

I agree. I don't see why every team can't have at least ONE Nationally Televised game. They could do it when they play another great draw (Lebron, Celtics, Lakers, etc), so its not like they'd have to air a crappy game.

Anyways, welcome to the forum. Good to see a Wolves fan from New York... there can't be a whole lot!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Wolves get added for at least one nationally televised game after we show that we are one of the most improved and most entertaining teams in the league.

What really kills me with the national games is that the networks are so SLOWWWW to react when a team that is expected to be good isn't. I swear Miami had gotten their buts kicked 5 times on national TV before anyone at the network noticed they weren't good.

I have a feeling Dallas might the team we have to suffer through this year.

Yeah, every team should be on national TV at least once, and probably two or three times considering that so many games are televised now between TNT, ESPN, and ABC. Like CW said, people would tune in to see pretty much anything featuring LeBron or Kobe. I think a Celtics/Wolves matchup would haev some appeal, especically considering we gave them two good runs this past year.

Totally agreed. It seemed that every week Miami or Chicago were involved in one of the TNT/ESPN broadcasts, yet New Orleans had maybe 1 or 2 games shown. How hard can that be to adjust over the course of the season?

Word. My only bigger scheduling pet peeve is that they schedule 98% of the games at night. The wolves play 1 or 2 afternoon games all season. It seems shocking that TNT/TBS can't toss on a random game or two on during both saturday and sunday afternoon's. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for watching sports on sat/sun afternoons and finding other stuff todo in the evening.

Back when the NFL started doing Sunday night games they used the worst game of the weekend... then it took off. It seems like the league would be better off spreading out their games and adding more coverage than having every team playing from 7pm-11pm in the evenings.

Re:2008-2009 Official Schedule 1 Month ago Howls: 95
Great points by everyone. I know we had to suffer through at least 5 (seemed like 50) atrocious Miami Heat games on TNT last year for those Thursday nights. If it wasn't the Heat, it was the Cavs. Don't get me wrong, I love watching LeBron, but the rest of the Cavs team is pretty boring to watch. I love the Thursday night TNT games because the wife (and I assume CW Jr will be too) is asleep and I just relax and watch the games.

Ugh, I hope we don't get bombarded with Dallas this year. They are kinda boring to watch too, in my opinion. I could see it happening though.
