Bob Knight has been working on the ESPN college bb crew since his retirement and after the selections today, picked Pitt to win it all! What a ballsy pick. His whole career in bb has "big cojones" written all over it.

I hope he sticks around and forces some of ESPN's bad/just plain annoying analysts out of jobs.

Initially I thought he was insane... but good for him going out on a limb. Solid.

before I even saw the bracket i told my self not to pick Pitt to go more than two rounds. I can't tell you how many times I've screwed myself by over estimating a team based on a good conference tournament run. I think that conference tourney's skew picks because A) teams get on a roll, B ) It takes a lot out of college guys to play 4 games in 4 days the week and then travel and deal with the NCAA hoopla and C) for the second tier good teams like Pittsburg they are really happy to have won the conference tourney... they may not have as sharp as edge as a result.

I think it affects the guys in the major conferences more because they have 3-4 tough games where as the top mid-major teams usually dominate until the final.

That said Pittsburg has looked quite good.

This should be about the time that Ryan reappears and tells us that he has Pittsburgh winning it all in one of his brackets for the 18th year in a row. Also, I wouldn't doubt that Bob Knight probably copied Ryan's bracket...
