The Panthers are favored to win and giving 3 points. You both picked them at +3 and CW picked them as an upset special.

You're right roundhouse. I copied and pasted off of CW when I posted my picks...

I probably won't be able to regularly contribute to the weekly pickems as i'm working on the road, currently in cincinnati but i'll try to do as many weeks as i can if that's alright.

STRAIGHT
Titans
Saints
Panthers
Jaguars
Packers
Chiefs

Broncos
Steelers
Texans
Cowboys

SPREAD
Titans +1 x
Vikings +2 -

Dolphins +6.5 -
Patriots +1 x
Ravens +4.5 e
Chiefs -3.5 -
Broncos +1.5 POTW UPSET SPECIAL -
Steelers -6 -
Eagles +7 x

MONEY

Giants x10
Packers x5
Saints x5
Steelers x5

TOTALS

Straight 10-5 (10 points)
Spread 5-9 (10)
POTW 0-1
Upset 1-0 (2)
Money +400 (12)

= 34 points

Do the money picks go off of the spread or outright, I calculated off of the spread because i assumed that's what it was. Also I'm not sure on my pick of the week/upset because i chose the broncos for both and they didn't cover the spread but did win

BTW if the money picks do indeed go off of the spread CW your math is so wrong, I can't believe you work in a bank.

I don't get it... what is wrong with my math? All my money picks were correct against the spread.

Re:NFL Picks Week 2 1 Month, 4 Weeks ago Howls: 62
Corrections for roundhouse...

TOTALS

Straight 10-5 (10 points)
Spread 5-9 (10)
POTW 1-0 (3)*
Upset 1-0 (5)*
Money +400 (12)

= 40 points

For clarification: Money picks are based on the spread. +100 for every point put on a win, -110 for every point put on a loss. (You did this right, by the way)

The Broncos did cover. They were +1.5 and they won outright. Since they were your upset special and they won outright, you double the points you made off your spread pick on them.

Normally a correct spread pick is worth 2 points, thus by making that your upset special, you would increase it to four points.

However, since Denver was your POTW, you earned 3 bonus points on that game in addition to your two, making your total 5. Since that game was your upset special, you double those points and now get 10 points total for that game. 2 for picking it correctly, 3 bonus points for the POTW, and then 5 additional points for the x2 muliplier off the upset special.
