TOPIC: Too bad...

Too bad... 2 years, 9 months ago #31344

Too bad KG isn't healthy and playing in the playoffs. That really sucks he's not going to get a chance to defend his title. The Chicago - Boston series has been amazing, but only because KG *isn'* playing. If he was, Boston would be up at least 3-1, and they wouldn't have had all these close games.

Oh well, good for the viewers I guess.

I'm sad that KG's best days are behind him. It will be interesting to see how his body will hold op over the rest of his career. I'm not suggesting that he's close to retirement or anything like that but he's 32 with the wear and tear of the NBA since he was 18.

Marco is a lucky man.

What are KG's knee problems? He has suffered for some time now but has not elected to have surgery.

All indications are that it isn't anything so specific as a torn ACL. It would seem that that 1k games into his career his knees are too tired.

It really stinks because Ray Allen is playing so well this team would have really pushed Cleveland hard. I love when a new champ has to get by an old champ.

No one really knows. It's kinda shady how Boston is not disclosing any information.

As far as I can tell, it is something about a "strained tendon" that may or may not need surgery. I do not believe that anything like an ACL, MCL, etc is "torn", so he could theoretically play. But, it sounds likely that he will need surgery here at some point very soon.

Sounds like this could have an impact on his career. whichis obviously terrible. I am guessing the Celtics are not disclosing this information to keep their minds on the playoffs.

But, in the end, the trade is well worth it for Boston. Regardless of who they gave up, even 1 championship makes it all worthwhile.

I hate this thread.

KG is wearing down.
AI sucks.
Sheed is washed up.
Artest is washing up.
Duncan still isn't retired.
Finley is washed up.
Stackhouse is washed up.
Kidd is washing up.
Manu is still alive.
Shaq is washing up.
Cassell is done.
Eva hasn't divorced Tony.
Mutombo is done.
And the Spurs haven't been dismantled.

The Dawn of a new era has come in. I must now try rooting for players like Rondo...Mayo...Roy...

I know dude...why do you think I haven't posted in this thread yet even though KG is easily my favorite athlete of all-time. I am in severe KG-is-breaking-down denial.

I still think he will make a playoff appearance this year.

My favorite athlete of all time is Ndubi Ebi, then KG. I hope both make a playoff appearance this year.
