Fantasy Football 2008 4 Months ago Howls: 54
This year I tried my hand at an Auction league for the first time. It is pretty fun.

IGH Pants
QB David Garrard 9
RB Steven Jackson 64
RB Earnest Graham 18
WR Terrell Owens 47
WR Patrick Crayton 14
WR DeSean Jackson 4
TE Chris Cooley 9
D/ST Titans D/ST 1
K Mike Nugent 1
BE Jay Cutler 8
BE Ted Ginn Jr. 9
BE Ray Rice 2
BE Kenny Watson 5
BE Limas Sweed 1
BE Owen Daniels 3
BE Robert Meachem 3
Total: 198.0
Remaining: 2.0

The Steven Jackson pick was clearly an overpay and I knew it the second I clicked add bid. I gave into a bit of panic after a slew of good RB's had been taken. For a frame of reference Barber went for $59 right before that pick.

Auction leagues are THE BEST!!!

Here is mine from Bonk and I's Keeper League we are in:

Start with $200 minus prices for up to 3 keepers.

My Keepers:

Addai (15)
Terrell Owens (31)
Fitzgerald (30)

MONEY REMAINING FOR DRAFT = $124

I was one of the two people with the most money almost the entire draft which was nice, only because people weren't naming the guys I had targeted so I just kept saving my money. For some perspective the most expensive guys at each position Peyton Manning (45) and Palmer (kept for $43 hahahah). Tomlinson ($76) and Stephen Jackson ($47). Peterson was $37 and McFadden went for $40! Brandon Marshall (34) and my two receivers next. Cooley ($17). Kickers all $3 or less. Minnesota and San Diego ($11 each)

My Team:

Brees (31)
Addai
Chris Perry (16)
TO
Fitzgerald
Nate Burleson (10)
Cooley (17) I waited too long for a tight end and there was NO ONE else left besides him. It was a bidding war between Bonk and I since we most money. Unfortunately EVERY other TE was cheaper. Kind of a bummer here, but I needed a TE and didn't hurt me moneywise.
Jacksonville D and Special Teams (1)
Mason Crosby (1)

BENCH:

Matt Hasselback (6)
Deuce McAllister (3)
DeAngelo Williams (13)
Chris Johnson (11)
DeSean Jackson (4)
Sidney Rice (1)

I think this is the year people finally realize Palmer has been very suspect since he got hurt against Pittsburg. He can choke on his 4 tds in week 17.

I definitely concur. He's in probably the second tier of QB's... but nowhere near the uppermost tier.

Well since College Wolf posted his team I guess I might as well post mine. Same league, same terms as he listed above. I don't have the exact data on me so I'm guessing on the exact prices - I think I remember most of them...PS- I was not happy with my auction, as I blew it & saved too much money, didn't get enough stars, etc...Boo me. But that's why they play the games I guess, who knows what will happen.

My Keepers:
RB - M.Lynch (36)
RB - F.Gore (19)
WR - A.Johnson (15)

Starters:
QB - D.McNabb (9)
RB - Lynch (36K)
RB - Gore (19K)
WR - Johnson (15K)
WR - J.Cotchery (16)
TE - V.Davis (9)
D - Chicago (9)
K - Koeding (11 cuz I blew it & had $$ left)
WR/RB - R.Williams (17)

Bench:
QB - K.Warner (I had E.Manning for $3, but cut him & picked up Warner since no one took him)
RB - M.Forte (13)
RB - L.White (14)
RB - R.Rice (10)
WR - D.Bowe (12)
WR - S.Moss (7)
