For me at work, the site is super duper slow using IE. However, IE sucks balls and I never use it at home. At home I use FireFox, and the site loads super fast with no issues at all.

I have the latest version of Firefox and the HTML for the league section is bad (the main content is off the screen on the right). The site is virtually unusable when I'm not in IE (Chrome and Firefox use the same rendering engine so both are bad).

I concur that the site is very very very slow. It usually takes 20 seconds between clicks. As bad as it gets.

That's really weird because I use nothing but Firefox here at home, and its super fast. I've never had an issue with the site at home. At work on IE6 (forced to use it, UGHGHGHG) it's about the worst site in the world. Sometimes it takes over a minute to load.

I'm using Safari on my Mac. I think the issue is my ADSL connection. Wasn't so bad tonight.

Sorry I missed your offer for Vince, Roundhouse. I'm currently trying for a Bynum for Carter swap with the Lakers with Kobe on the FA block right now.

And what is the deal with the cap? Do we have the LLE, MLE, etc to play with if we go over?

Yes. You can offer to pay free agents in a variety of ways:

- Regular cap money
- Full MLE
or
- Split up the MLE and use 60% on one player and then 40% on a second player
- Veteran's minimum
- LLE

It's pretty indepth. I'm impressed.

actually no, that's not entirely true. They only handed out exceptions to teams that were over at the time of the draft? i think. I don't have the MLE, i know that for sure. you probably don't either auswolf if you were under the cap when you first took over the team.

Anyways, if you go to the transactions page and go to the bottom near the draft stuff theere is a list of the teams that were granted exceptions...which I can't find now. Strange. Just try signing a free agent with the MLE. that should tell you whether you have it or not.

Am I doing something wrong? I can't join the league. The site found the league, i typed the password and when I press OK, it just reloads the same page. It didn't matter if I joined as a GM or an agent, it was all the same. What am I supposed to do?

EDIT: So, I didn't see that my name was on the GM's list. I'm joining with the Bobcats

It's too bad that guy ruined their team. Their roster hurts my eyes to look at. If you clear up some of the stiffs on your team through buyouts/trades you could make an offer to Kobe. I posted it somewhere earlier in this thread but i'll post it again because it's pretty important.

It doesn't work like the real NBA. On here, you can buy out players and they come off of your books/salary cap immediately, even if they have multiple years remaining.

Example: The Knicks are $8 million over the cap and have $60 million remaining in their budget (which is a whole lotta dough, more than any other team in the game i think).

If you wanted to buy out Etan Thomas of the remaining 1-year, $9 million of his salary, you go to the buyouts page and select "0-year buyout" (which means the money comes off the cap immediately)

Now all you have to do is get an agent like pants to represent Thomas and accept the buyout. If you don't want to do all that you can have the agent set it up for you as well.

You would now be $1 million dollars under the cap and have $51 million remaining in your budget.
