Yeah, I didn't really notice it the first time around (well I did but it didn't really bother me). I think the length of the movie plus the fact that he is in batman form more just made it stand out.

Agreed. I don't remember it bothering me as much in Batman Begins as it did in this movie. I don't have Batman Begins or I would watch it to compare. I think it might be "worse" in this movie, but I could just have a bad memory... I dunno. Either way, if something like this is one of the main sticking points against a movie, that means its a pretty darn good movie.

The Dark Knight set all kinds of release records:

http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/ap/20080720/121658682000.html

http://www.imdb.com/chart/

I think its sooooo stupid though when they compare new movies to box office total of old ones. I mean, look how freakin much movie tickets have skyrocketed! Of course newer movies are going to have a higher $$$ amount. It is beyond me why they don't count "tickets sold" rather than dollars. Just for example, the original Star Wars Movies all grossed over $300 million domestically (I believe.) I think ticket prices for the first movie were between like 0.25 and 0.50 each. That means they have sold exponentially more actual tickets than movies nowadays. Just had to get that off my chest, I've always wondered why they don't adjust record movies for inflation.

Chuck Norris won by 5.

Just got back from the Dark Knight. Wow. Where does that series go from here? Whoever wrote that movie was a genius.

This movie movie much like the first Batman (Keaton style) were fantasic at doing realistic super heros.

I wouldn't want to be the actor who plays the next villian. Legder would have vaulted into the top 3 or 4 actors in hollywood... what a shame.

I saw Dark Knight last night with my family. Everything was awsome about it except I like to see a bit more of a happy ending in my movies. No one was talking on the way out!

It was like "The Empire Strikes Back"... I think they are setting it up for the final, happier episode. I also think that because I am pretty sure I heard somewhere that Christian Bale signed on for three Batman movies before he did "Batman Begins."

That's interesting to know about the 3 movies. I'm a sucker for a topsy turvy ride. I loved the ending.

Did anyone see the Prestige? That same director (Nolan), Bale and Michael Cane. I'm going to have to rent that.

I've seen the Prestige and I really like it.

If you really want a badass movie by Christopher Nolan watch Memento.

I saw Pineapple Express last night, and it was pretty damn funny. The first half of the movie was just hilarious. The second half kind of got a little too over the top, but overall it was still a good comedy worth seeing.

We also pulled a little 2 for 1 and watched Tropic Thunder as well. Although it wasn't awful, it was far from good. I wouldn't recommend spending hard earned cash on it. It had some funny times, but I didn't think it was a huge laugher either.

Awesome... good to know actually. I'm hoping to see PE at some point soon. Also, I hadn't planned on going to TT and now I won't.
