The Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3 was pretty sweet. Then again, I LOVE Denzel Washington and he's one of my fav actors... so maybe I'm biased. Still, a good summer popcorn flick for sure. A little predictable towards the end, but I could live with that.

Watched Gran Torino thanks to the awesomeness that is Red Box. Very good flick, I enjoyed. Old man Eastwood definitely still has it. I'd say its worth your time.

The misses and I watched Taken last night. This was a sweet movie. The most ass ever kicked in a movie my wife picked out.

Twenty-Four meets Jason Bourne meets Some movie that involves kidnapping.

For anyone who watches Lost you'll get the added bonus of seeing the actress who played Shannon as the daughter. She supposed to be 17. Given that she is more like 23 they had her behave like a 15 year old half the time so you'd mentally split that age difference and believe she was 17. High comedy.

I watched Awake On Demand. It was "ehhhh." I gave it a 4 out of 10 on IMDB. It's not *terrible*, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it if I were you guys.

I also watched The Hammer. I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty funny. Unfortunately, almost no one knows about this movie and it was released to pretty much no fanfare. I'd definitely check it out on Netflix or something like that if you want a decent comedy.

I've been wanting to checkout the Hammer after all the yammering Carolla and Simmons have done about it.

The Hangover is really good. The ending is the best!

saw "Burn After Reading" last night from the Coen Brothers, not as bad as I heard, Malkovich steals the picture with a great performance as a raging alcoholic CIA man

(I know this forum is called "Awesome New Movies Thread" so perhaps I posted in the wrong forum. I did look for the "Movie not as bad as I heard, perhaps because I was hungover thread", couldn't find it)

HA I had a conversation this weekend about how much Malkovich stole the show in that movie.

I saw Public Enemies today. I thought it was really good. Then again, I might be a bit biased because I always love a solid mob flick. Check it out if you are interested in it. Plus Depp is a stud.

I watched Startup.com this weekend. I thought it was really interesting and informative. Definitely a "must-watch" for any budding entrepreneurs out there...

Someone had borrowed me Defiance, and I just got done watching it. Good, touching (yet exciting) movie, with some excellent actors. I'd say it's worth your time, especially if yo uare a history buff or like true stories.

Dunno if there are any Harry Potter fans in this forum. Read all the books, watch all the films so far. Saw "The Half Blood Prince" today, I did like it.... books were always better though. Well worth the wait I thought.
