The Jacksonville Panthers lady had a look on her face that said, "WHO THE HELL WOULD EVER KNOW THIS???"

That's exactly how I feel about most of the other Final Jeopardy questions

In Final Jeopardy, you write down your wager WITH your answer, correct? You don't wager before the question like with the Daily Double, right?

If so, why would that guy write down $5,000 and then ??? That's like flushing $5k!

No. You write your wager before the question is revealed otherwise if you didn't know the answer you would just write 0 and not lose anything.

I bet he could name ONE team, but probably knew that the team he knew like the Cowboys, Steelers, etc. were obviously not the answer.
