I'm not sure Memphis would be getting enough there. Just Carney is somewhat of a risk.

From their perspective it would be a straight-up trade--Lowry for Carney. With Conley and Crittenton also on the roster, Lowry is expendable. Carney would have real on-court value and marketing appeal for that team. Memphis obviously covets Carney, as they tried to do the trade with Philadelphia but were unwilling to take on Booth, according to at least one report I read.

Carney's value is being overestimated. The 76ers are giving us a 1st round pick just to take his contract...

If need be, the T-Wolves should throw-in one of next year's second round picks. Lowry would be an ideal back-up PG option.

I wouldnt mind having lowry on the squad- thats if they dont re-sign telfair... foye & lowry formed a formitable backcourt back @ Villanova... BUT that was college. Either way this move wont make us THAT much better

Completely agree with you. Good post and welcome to the board.

I'd rather have Telfair, but Lowry would do. When it all comes down to it, its not like either guy is going to lead us to the playoffs or anything like that. HOWEVER, we desperately still need a backup PG.
