Minnesota lost because they were outcoached by the spurned Dwane Casey.

(This is from my astute observation 5 minutes into the delayed game, knowing that MN lost.)

Long story short, I missed all this stuff because I just got done removing 18 trojan viruses off my computer about 20 minutes ago. (Egads!)

Anyways, I wasn't able to use my home computer for the past two days until now. That sucked.

Annnnyways, Roundhouse already posted the boxscore, but here's more stuff too:

Summer League Schedules

BOXSCORE

Game Recap

P.S. I'm not gonna hate on anyone, but it can't be a good thing that we lost to Dallas's no name squad by 14...

To be fair it was the Mav's 3rd game compared to our 1st.

I was trying to illegally download Microsoft Office because I don't have Excel on my home computer, and want it. Perhaps I should just go buy it. Ha.

Here's the boxscore:

Wolves 74, Mavs 90

I only saw most of the 2nd half, but from what I saw it was pretty disappointing.

Players I liked

Pooh Jeter 9 pts, 4-6 FG, 5 assists
Drew Neitzel 10 pts, 4-5 FG, 2-2 3PT
Blake Ahearn 17 pts, 4-8 FG, 8-8 FT

Players I didn't like

Corey Brewer 11 pts, 5-18 FG, 7 boards
Bryce Taylor 5 pts, 2-5 FG, 0 assists in 26 minutes

As the Spanish speakers say, Brewer is "El Negocio." Don't hate. He's just getting ya'll ready for when he drops triple dubs this year.

Also, why no love on the court for my boy Vincent Grier? HATERS. My boy VG will dyck Dan Coleman 10 out of 10 times, yet he sits while Dan the I have a tiny 80 lb baby mama Coleman gets the tick? Nope. Not right...ALthough Dan is a beast against 6'1 SF's like DaddyFatSax...

The Daddy doesn't buy it for a second. You were downloading midget action again weren't you?

FYI CW, I ran into Silent Ababu at Seven. He was pullin bytches left and right.

Your boy Grier? If anything, he's both "our boy." And yes, he needs run, I concur.

From Sichting, via Pioneer Press, via TwolvesBlog (This site is awesome!)

"Like a lot of players, it takes a year — and sometimes two — to get your feel in and find your niche in this league," said Timberwolves assistant coach Jerry Sichting, who is coaching the Wolves' summer league team in Las Vegas. "Corey is a winner, he's a great kid, and he'll find that niche."

Would the summer league be a great & low-risk way for Brewer to challenge these deficiencies of his?

I also thought I heard commentary last night on how Brewer has added a few pounds since the season ended, and hopefully this trend continues. I believe it would take a lot of practice to keep your skills as your body changes.

If I were the coaching staff, I'd be less concerned about the summer league w's & l's and individual stat lines in individual games and rather focus on how our prospects rise to the challenge and post improvement. And improvement is a gradual process. I wouldn't expect great changes from season end to game 1 of summer league. So, I gots to believe the coaching staff has challenged Corey to attack the basket, work those midrange jumpers, focus on your individual improvement goals, and most importantly, don't over-analyze the end of day stat sheet.

Yes, Summer League statlines don't mean a whole lot. That's why I titled it "Players I liked/Players I didn't like" instead of "Good game/Bad game". I was just stating who I liked from what I saw.
