I should have secretly killed it off when I switched everything over to the new server. Would anybody have noticed?

How about you not so secretly kill it right now.

Yes, it's back.

I love it when my fellow posters say "we can", "we can't", "we will", "we won't".

One such scenerio was the ability to play defense this year. The unaminous forum opinion was, "we can't" "we won't" "we are incapable"

I think last nights game against SA proves that defense is as much desire as ability. It is a skill that can be learned and it is a culture that can be embraced.

Love, Miller and Big Al have all 3 shown they can hold their own defensably. Love particularly did a wonderful job on one of the best big scorers in the league in Tim Duncan. I think the only person who could have guarded Tony Parker last night was Jeff Van Gundy ; grab a leg and hang on!

Good post.

I agree on Love. I was very impressed with his ability to guard Duncan down low. You cant deny his immediate impact on the floor, it's just fantastic. I have never watched a guy both on and off the ball as closely as Love.

It will be interesting to see if we can hold the fort against Amare and some of the other top tier bigs this season.

I like the idea of defensive emphasis during training camp, but we are an offensive team! The struggles on offense have been blatant thus far, but it seems like Miller has found his groove. Hopefully Foye isnt too far behind, but he needs to be more aggressive like the Foye we know.

Agree on Love, didn't notice much improvement for Big Al or Miller, but didn't notice big misses either, so you may be on to something.

Regarding Parker, I swear I thought Duncan was moving his pick several times, however I definately had my fan-goggles on and can't see half the things refs call or don't call.

Positive howl on the post, negative howl on bringing back this thread.
