Only Kaiser Sanyarin II would pull a trick like submitting a 14 point question.

Fantastic Bag. Once Kevin Love has 10+ games under his belt we might need to start a nickname thread. I think we owe it to him and ourselves to see what he's got on the NBA level before he gets an official name.

LOL! Now that's funny...

And in interest of full disclosure, I had already picked him before he sent in his late second question. So if that makes you feel any better, his additional submission didn't sway anything.

Nice Mailbag, CW. You had some pretty tough questions to answer like Sanyarin's 14 pointer and the one where you had to detail every player's off-season workout regimen. That was some heavy lifting and you pulled it off. HOoooooooooooooooooWL!

Haha thanks buddy.

It certainly is never "easy"... that's for sure! My hope is that I eventually start getting enough questions, where I can pick and choose the best/funniest/most unique/etc. Until then, I'll keep answering every one!

Hmm ... again two threads on the same topic. That's what I love internet boards for .

I have already thanked CW for his great efforts on the mailbag and answered pants' challenge as well, but before I forget it, one more word to CW: I am highly thankful that you awarded all my questions with an answer when I expected you to choose only some from them to consider, but you can't be serious about the answer on my question regarding Detlef Schrempf ... a basketball mind such as yours, bursting with knowledge can't be unaware of Germany's second best Basketball player besides Nowitzki ... Uwe Blab ... fine, even I tend to forget he ever existed from time to time, but Detlef Schrempf? A two time winner of the "6th man award", a three time allstar, a career double digit scorer over a 17 year NBA career, an important piece of the Sonics' 1996 finals squad and member of the "Sonics 40th Anniversary Team"? How can your miraculous brain be overstrained by this question ??

This somehow shakes my image of the universe ... left has become right, green has become yellow, Jerome James a valuable rotation player, Randy Foye a point guard, Marbury a winner of the Pulitzer Award ...

Well it's ok ... everything is fine ... for my own sanity, I will just assume you somehow skipped the last question of this huge list I threw at you .

Keep up your wonderful work !

Sanyarin deserves emailer of the month simply for using asinine in a sentence while writing in his second language.

Oh, and outlet passes are the new black.

I'm glad you took my ribbings in stride. If it is any consolation to you
Detlef Schrempf was a favorite player of mine growing up. Mainly because his name was so fun to say. My friends and I also used to use his name as a replacement for swear words.

You dribble off your foot... "detlef SCHREMPF".

Hey... thanks a lot Sanyarin, I really appreciate the kind words. Thank you too for writing in. I couldn't do these mailbags without the participation from you all!

As for that question about Schrempf and Blab, it was my very last question to finish up the entire mailbag and it was getting super late at night. At that point I just wanted to publish it. For the record, I have nothing against Schrempf... he was an amazing player. It's just that it was late and I was getting tired.

I, like CW was actually fairly young during the Detlef Schrempf era in Seattle, which is probably why we don't have too much to say.

The one thing I will always remember him for is his uncanny ability to nail 3-pointers in the Super Nintendo game, NBA Jam. Seattle was one of the best teams to use, because Kemp could dunk better than anyone, and Schrempft could rain the 3's. They were legendary.
