Pre-Season Record: 3-1

Pre-season means nothing, but we are winning games because we play our starters pretty big minutes. I'm not going to elaborate any further about the pros/cons of playing your staters in pre-season, so we'll just leave it at that.

PREDICTION:

Wolves 90 - Raptors 88

Setting my team colors aside for a second, I like the Raptors. They got spunk & heart. And Mitchell is the man.

I think this should be one of the most entertaining pre-season games the Wolves have scheduled.

I'm following the game on ESPN GameCast right now, but I'm a bit busy tonight with tons of school work ahead of me. All I'll say is that after a lack-luster 1st quarter (Aside from Foye's hot 3/3, for 7 points, start), the T'wolves are absolutely wrecking the Raps' 2nd unit with our 2nd unit. Ahearn is now 6/6, 3/3 from downtown, and has 15 points in just 8 minutes of action. Yes sir.

PS: Bargnani is getting wrecked by Gomes and Love, despite scoring 7 points on 3 long range jumpers. I also have to give a shoutout to Mr. Gomes for being a solid glue guy off the bench so far (Aside from his 2/4 FT shooting), posting 6 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, and 3 steals in just 11 minutes.

Wolves up 47-31 with 2:57 remaining in the 2nd.

I'm not gonna be able to provide anymore updates after the half, so here's one final update going into the break.

Rhino is kicking his own ass with at least 2, perhaps 3, offensive fouls, totaling for 4 fouls in 11 minutes. McCants also had himself 2 fouls in just 6 minutes, as well as going 0-2 from the field. The story of the game so far is the Wolves' 14 fouls in the first half, but are hot with 51% overall shoot, 42% from downtown (Largely thanks to Ahearn's 6/8 shooting overall, including 3/4 from downtown).

Everyone else on the Wolves squad haven't been out of the ordinary. Al Jeff helped himself to 6/7/1 in 10 minutes of action. Brewer surprisingly has yet to take a shot after 12 minutes of burn, but has 3 boards and an assist. I'm sure he had an influential role in holding Anthony Parker to 0-4 shooting (McCants was pulled early for his poor shooting and foul trouble, so I'm taking Brewer switched onto Parker on the defensive end). Love only has 3 points, 3 boards, and 1 assist + 1 block in 12 minutes, which is decent. Bassy has 2 points, but a nice 4 assists to 1 turnover in 13 minutes. Carney is giving us a nice offensive boost, scoring 11 on 4/9 shooting. He hit a 3 close to the end of the half, and had a "driving dunk" off a K-Love assist, wish I could've seen that one. Again, I'm calling Gomes out as a solid producer, as he helped himself to yet another steal between my last update and now, but needs to recollect himself at the line, as he's not 2/6 from the charity stripe. Still, he's balancing out our squad very nicely, showing us his ability to gel with our 2nd unit.

Our team is pretty solid, hope this will carry on to the regular season. I like our blue jerseys more and more every time they have pictures of them. They are sweet......

Big Al, Foye, Gomes, and Ahern all had good games it seems. Rashad with a massive stinker of a game. Doesn't look like Love did much in almost 20 minutes either.

Dangit... I missed the final score prediction by two points:

If only this were the regular season. Hey, at least there's something to be slightly excited about. It's so strange to have a basketball team that you can expect to win. It's been so long...

The one thing that seems to be coming out of these pre season games is that we will have a very strong bench. We have no superstars but we have 10 very good players.

I'm not gonna lie, this pre-season is exciting me and making me even more optimistic. I know, I know, it's only preseason...but still - it's something. And it's not like we have been playing the other teams scrubs. Other than the Milwaukee game, we have pretty much been playing the main guys on the opposition. This 4-1 record HAS to be a big confidence group for our young players. This can't be anything but a good thing. And I agree with 9Deuce - the jerseys are really growing on me as well. Positivity All-Around right now!!! Which is great...I've grown tired of being negative on this team the last few years...we are on the rise now!
