Game Thread: Wolves at Portland Blazers (11/08/08) 3 years, 3 months ago #23888

Season Record: 1-4

At this point, I don't see how we can possibly beat Portland. Not to mention it's on the road and part of a "back to back." Me thinks we have no chance. Sorry, just being realistic here.

PREDICTION:

Wolves 88 - Blazers 101
Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

Brian Cardinal has vengeance written on his face. We shall succeed.

I did notice he had something written all over his face last night. It did not look like vengeance to me but maybe you are right. It looked more like grape jelly.

Portland 101
Wolves 96

I would like to think we'll play a little better than yesterday, but I doubt it.

Nice first quarter for the Wolves and we find ourselves with an early lead 24-18.

Foye is playing inspired. He is 3-3 with 6 points in just five minutes off the bench.

Up 2 near the end of the 3rd. Let's go guys, get Foye more touches!!

Down 6 now in the beginning of the 4th, why do we have absolutely no length? God... it's killing us.
I have absolutely NO ties to Minnesota. No family/friends there, no one I know that's a fan of anything Minnesota, and never set foot anywhere close to there.

I'm just a normal guy who randomly picked the wrong team to cheer for as a kid.

McCants just had 4 TERRIBLE possessions in a row why has he not been pulled. It is things like this that make me wonder why wittman is still a head coach somewhere. He has terrible judgment on the flow of the game it is disgusting.

It's really disappointing because these are no longer losses that "we can learn from" or "we kept it close against the blazers", there are no excuses for these losses. We have to close out games. If we don't do that, no matter how good we look the rest of the game, we are the worst team in the league right now.
