Yes, I said it.

And no, it's not too early to say it.
Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

I know he isn't playing well right now, but isn't it a bit early to label anyone a bust less than halfway into his rookie season?

How many rookies actually play to their full potential at this point in their careers? Didn't players like Deron Williams need a few seasons to develop?

I would give him another year, then we can see how he is doing. For example, I could say that after this season we can tell for sure how Foye is, as his second season was gone b/c of his injury.

Chuck Norris won by 5.

Ok ok... Maybe if he was on a team like the Celtics or Spurs, we wouldn't call him a bust (yet); because they can afford to wait. On the Timberwolves, and because we traded away the possible ROY (again) in Mayo, he's a monster bust. We don't have the luxury of waiting around for lottery picks to "develop."

And to be frank, I'm sick and tired of waiting around for these jokers to "develop." All we hear about our picks (McCants, Foye, Brewer, and Love) are excuses for them, and the fact that they have "potential" and they'll "get better" and blah blah blah. No wonder this organization is getting run into the ground. We don't have the luxury of waiting around years for the third pick in the draft to develop and make a positive impact in games consistently. We need the third freakin overall pick to make an impact NOW. That is what Mayo would have done, but whatever.

Love is a bust. He probably won't be considered a bust by the masses for a few years, when he's still averaging 6 points and 8 rebounds per game. Then they'll tell us how great of a "situational rebounder" he is (or some BS like that.)

The Wolves Organization is really testing my patience, and I'm as hardcore a NBA fan as they come. FAN-tastic.

Lets put it this way with the way Mayo is playing right now, yea most t-wolves fans are bummed. Lemmy put it this way

mccants-bust (has majorly stunk)
Foye -Bust (has lived up to hardly any potential)
Brewster-Bust (even though he is injured he never has showed me a thing)
Love-Bust

this is why i say trade our draft pick and anything else for a decent vet. We dont need anymore rookies we need a vet.

Love is always going to be compared to Mayo who, as we all feared, appears to be something really special. Its just too bad the front office tried to get cute with this one.

I think bust is a difficult term. Love has had a rough few games here and needs to have a big one coming up or more fans will stick their finger down their throat.

Best case scenario for Love, who will be in the league for a long time, would be a shorter, better rebounding Brad Miller. For Mayo it would appear the sky is the limit. Did anyone see that Brandon Roy Nike commercial last night? Sheesh...

We don't need a vet. We don't need Mayo. We need to play better. It's no coincidence that every player is playing well below his potential save Craig Smith. You could throw the bathroom sink at the Wolves right now and they still would suck. We have created a culture of losing and evryone has been sucked up into it. Put Lebron on our team and we still won't make the playoffs.
Brewster-Bust (even though he is injured he never has showed me a thing)
Love-Bust

I didn't see the BRoy commercial. Was it before or after the Randy Foye commercial... (Insert Smilie Face of me hanging myself here)

Don't worry guys, this will all be over soon. The Wolves are going to clean house and McHale will be outta here. We've proven that we can build through the draft without McHale screwing things up. I mean, any one with an ounce of common sense would have netted us Granger, Roy, and Mayo in the past four drafts. (Brewer's draft class was weak after Oden/Durant). There is talent to be had in the draft every year. We just need somebody who isn't intent on either passing on it or trading it away and we'll be fine.

Clean house and the Wolves will be in good shape in a few years. We've got Big Al, tons of picks, and tons of cap room. All it takes is somebody who's not a complete buffoon.

How's that for some optimism?

I was honestly considering adding that to the post you quoted. Pretty sure it was after the Randy Foye Toys for Tots commercial. And dont you worry, Don Overbeck is seeking out endorsements as we speak. INCREDIBLE!

Yeah, when I think about it, you're right. I forgot Love was the 3rd pick. Mayo may not be in MN very long but I'd rather have 3-4 years of fun (remember what that word means? I don't) than more of the same.

McCants sucks. He has talent but it is hidden underneath a big layer of laziness and arrogance. I would be very happy to get rid of him.
Foye is OK at best. He isn't a point guard.
Miller is good when he wants to be, for some reason he isn't taking his shots.

I really agree about having your patience tested. If we are getting annoyed, the more fair weather fans have surely left long ago, as evidenced by our attendance at Target Center. I am really only going there for the opponents, which is sad.

When I think about the fact that we passed on the ROY twice in a few years (Mayo isn't offically but I'd be amazed if he wasn't) I can't decide if I'm sad or angry. Maybe I'm too worn down by the sucking to care.

I like DeRok's thinking. Bring in Flip and Dwayne Wade and throw McFail and all off your guards into the river
