When I think about the fact that we passed on the ROY twice in a few years (Mayo isn't offically but I'd be amazed if he wasn't) I can't decide if I'm sad or angry. Maybe I'm too worn down by the sucking to care.

oh man CW. We can't give him the Bust title yet. How about Brewer first or that fans that support the team. I remember the debate we all had with the James lover on KG and how he was or wasn't a bust. I don't think Love carries the baggage to debate on that level but we need to give him a year under a better coach. Let's get back to this after next year.

Street_Credit: Good post.

Even though Love is averaging a deadly 0.3 ppg over the last three games, I would put him MILES ahead of Corey Brewer's rookie season.

8 and 8 really aint bad for the first quarter of a rookie season. What irkes fans is the opportunity cost, and mental anguish we see, of Mayo playing like an all-star in Memphis. Had the Wolves drafted Love outright at 5, Im guessing there wouldnt be as much apathy. However, that isnt the case, and we have a right to bitch and feel negative.

Lets just hope and pray that this is Love's rookie wall.

Thanks CW. I need all the howls I can get.

I think Love just need a tan and head of hair and facial hair like me and he will be alright out there.

Not sure if any of you basketball goons care but there have been recent talks with the Atlanta Thrashers of possibly trading Kim Johnsson and Marion "the baby" Gaborik for Ilya Kovalchuk and Colby Armstrong. I for one would have already done this deal. Kovalchuk has played in at least 65 games per year over the past 6 years and has totaled 500 goals in that time. I wish it was Skola over Johnsson but to get rid of Gaborik's baggage for a reliable and great producing forward is just what the Wild need.

That is an excellent point!!!!!!!!! I agree that it's too early to call Love a bust, but i think this next sentence says it all:

How awesome would a backcourt of Roy and Mayo be?
I dunno. I never smoked any Astroturf.”
-Tug McGraw, asked whether he preferred grass or Astroturf

Yeah, sorry.

What I meant to say is Foye is awesome. He had 16 rebounds last game! Together, Love and foye had 27 pts 22 rebs and 2 assists. Awesome.

No, I will not proclaim him a bust yet! I am still holding on to the railing, altough most of the ship is flooded and the captain's dead.

HOLD ON! *cries*

I don't think Love is a bust he's a pretty smart basketball player and he hustles hard so I think in time when he get familiar with the NBA game he will be fine.

You know who would of been busts.....Brandon Roy, OJ Mayo, and Danny Granger. If Foye, Brewer, McCants, and Love were on some other team right now we would be saying...Man..why didn't we take them or why did we trade them away...so what I'm trying to say is ...it's our great organization that really know how to give our guys confidence.
