Good to hear (well, whenever that time does come... not now I hope.) I wouldn't want your soul to be unsettled and forever doomed to eternal unrest. But as Wolves fans, that's probably the fate of us all.

Simply put, the ubiquity of blind faith in this team is just silly.
Not blind faith; just asking patience to extend beyond 30 games.
Kevin Love’s development into a “bust” is a bit subjective. What do the majority of folks expect from him? In my estimation, he’ll probably exceed expectations. All I expect is the David Lee, Udonis Haslem type of lunch pail player. He looks as though he’ll develop into a better rebounder than those two (at least Haslem). I never expected much from him offensively. He’s slow – that won’t change. He does not have the body of Amare, KG, Dwight, Malone, or even Brad Miller. This won’t change, he just doesn’t have that body. WAKE UP and accept this. There is a reason why Amare is a big time scorer. There is a reason why KG is a big time defender. Their bodies allow them to be. No matter how hard Madsen tries, his body doesn’t allow him to be a big time player. Love can, however, work to utilize everything he has. If he lifted weights and worked out like crazy he could begin to resemble a poor man’s Karl Malone-esque physique, but anyone who knows how much work that takes knows it’s not likely to happen. Defensively it’s the same story, he’s not equipped to become anything more than an average player on this end. His rotations and ability to help can develop though, which I’m sure they will.
A point well made. I can agree with that.
So as far as Love, we can come to some conclusions now, but it’s more appropriate to wait and see how he looks after a year or so.
Indeed.
OJ Mayo….So, someone said he’s just a volume shooter on a bad team. Again, I urge us all to look at this objectively. He shoots a good FG%. As high as any shooter in this league – and he’s a rookie. He’s already an average defender and has the athleticism to be elite. He rebounds fine and appears to be at least an average passer. Just as an FYI, check out this link and refute it if you please. It reaffirms my frustrations. www.ojmayonnaise.com/
That was me. If he shooting like that in a year, I will be the first to admit my mistake. Again it's 30 games.
So let's stop the nonsense. If you worked for Bear Stearns you would have jumped ship when illogical decision making started taking the company down. Americans are largely against an auto industry bailout as we, for the most part, think it's the result of lazy, poor decision making for year after year. What's the difference with this team? The fact that fans can see the idiocy of this team means that we care. We can't accept year after year of futility. It's just not logical.
I can see the idiocy of the team structure and not want to call Love a "bust" just yet. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Is unrealistic to feel that Love's struggles are as much related to a poorly constructed squad as they are his body habitus/lack of physical condition - patchy PG work and a group of big guys behind Al Jefferson so bad you couldn't make it up?
I'll borrow from Stop N Pop here: regardless of where he is at, Love needs to play in preference to the list fillers taking his minutes right now. If he's playing 8-12 minutes a game, then the FO really are being profligate.

Even though I'm not a Love fan (as evidenced by this post), I do agree with this comment. I mean, it's idiocy how few minutes he's playing, especially after how much they hyped him up after drafting him.
Let him play at least 20 minutes per game during this lost season. I wouldn't even argue with that. At the end of the year if he still sucks, then I can brag about how right I was. More likely, he'll have at shown at least some improvement.

Who are these people with "Blind Faith"? I don't believe anyone can't see some of the past mistakes of the Wolves organization, I just see no point in re-living each one each and every day to the point that you can no longer enjoy a game that was intended to be entertainment. There are many things I would change if I were in charge of the Wolves as would the rest of us, however, that won't stop me from hoping they win and wishing them the best. CW, as far as you spending the money on the team, that is great, but another topic. Unfortunately there are probably not enough people in the Twin Cities that would support the Wolves to your degree even if they were perrennial champions. Look back and see how many championships the Lakers had in the 10 year span before they moved.

I don't think you are assuming anything inaccurately, but I just wanted to point out that I wasn't mentioning spending money on this team to brag or ANYTHING like that at all. My point was just that its ok to complain about the flaws of a product when any given person spends hard earned money on it. Just to be clear.
Also, I highly enjoy the game of basketball and the NBA in general. That will never change. The problem is that the Wolves Organization makes a mockery of it.

I for one would like to see Love succeed. I never had the "ideal" physique or athleticism to play ball, so I admire the fact that there are players who no matter how short eg. Muggsy Bogues or unathletic eg. Larry Bird or fat eg. Oliver Miller, can still bring their game.
Hopefully he can prove most people wrong and show his potential.

The only player i disagree with is the bird man. He had a wonderful career. Yet K-Love was highly drafted and has had shown no quality what so ever. He is a decent rebounder that is it. Do I wish he will succeed yes, do i think he will, no. I see no drive in him when he plays hes lazy and so far has shown me nothing. Our last picks, Mccants, Foye, Brewster and now love imho are all busts. And two of them we could have not gotten on our plate, we could have had Roy and Mayo but no thanx to our horrid management we are stuck with fourth quarter loser Foye and Pudge Love. thanx numbnuts

If we had Mayo, I'd be extremely happy. If we had Roy, I'd be even happier.
But we have Love. But we have Foye. I'm still happy we have them because there's no changing it. I love the game too much to just jump ship and no longer support the Wolves. Even through all their horrible front office moves, whether or not we approve of it, they still happen.
I don't live in Minnesota, never visited it, nor do I have any connection to Minnesota. I'm still, for some reason, sticking with them through thick and thin. Maybe it's blind faith, but I don't really care, I'll trying to stay positive until we turn it around, regardless of what kind of [major] mistakes we make along the way.

I gotta agree with you to an extent there. When I go to read the game thread of an exciting overtime win and the first 6 new posts are all negative posts via College Wolf & Roundhouse it is quite annoying...

Oh. Sorry I didn't get the memo about not ever criticizing our crappy team that needed overtime to beat an almost equally pitiful team at home.

You know I got love for ya CW & Roundhouse, let's not overreact here. But can't you understand how it was a very enjoyable game to be at, we did win the game, it was somewhat exciting, and I go to the game thread and see 6 negative posts in a row by the 2 of you...we WON...we never win! It was just a bit disheartening...

What is it with people perpetually making excuses and defending our draft picks?
Give me Oden every single day of the week over Love. No debate whatsoever.
Ever stop to think that some of us may just be Timberwolves Fans and don't care to berate the team for any and every reason?
You have to be kidding me...what you are insinuating is that if the fans were simply these smiling rubes in the stands cheering every play even if it is another McCants air ball or when Kevin McHale is introduced as the coach??? Please...
The fans pay money and are the customer...they are right...and have the right to be negative...and positive as well when it is due...
Now last night's game was fun to watch...Big Al is a BEAST!!! No doubt about that...I was watching simply to see OJ Mayo and what could have been...We already have had a Kevin Love...i.e. Christian Laetner (sp?) a white guy who can score some and rebound a bit...But Mayo is going to be an elite player in this league in 3-5 years...
And another noteon watching the game on tv and who was doing the guest commentary, MIKE MILLER...Please...what a waiste of a trade that has been so far...
Don't get me started on what a mistake Brandon Roy for Foye was (they talked about this last night comparing these two)...I watch ALOT of Blazer Basketball having the NBA League pass and this player is going to be the MVP of the league in 3 - 5 years...and what did Peterson say last night "Foye reminds him alot of Chauncy Billups." It is just a matter of time we let Foye go as well and he stars for an Eastern Conference team...

Maybe if we wouldn't have traded Mayo for Fatty Love we wouldn't be so negative. I know I could stomach having Love a lot more if we would have just drafted him outright instead of making this trade and then proclaiming to the world how awesome it was.
P.S. You should give us props for actually posting during/after the game. I didn't see anyone else posting... why would I waste my time here if I didn't care?
