TOPIC: Kevin Love is a going to be considered a BUST

Re:Kevin Love is a going to be considered a BUST 3 years, 1 month ago #26372

and one other thing that they were speaking about was the fact that K Love had already hit a rookie wall??? WTF...how can you hit a rookie wall when you don't play very much...

The whole purpose of the KG trade was to make the team better long term...Has this happened??? I do not think so...I mean with all due respect to Ryan Gomes...He is not an NBA starter in this league...a role player at best...

And just to set the record straight...I have followed the Wolves since the very beginning...in Fact I went to at least 2 games that I remember in the Metrodome days...in fact one against Orlando and the other was the Utah Jazz...

Remember when the realligned the division? Wow...we were in the same division as the happless Nuggets, Blazers, etc??? And when people would always compare the Spurs and Wolves or the Mavs and Wolves...Talk about distant memories...

And look at what Utah has been able to do...they made some moves to get Boozer and D Will and Okur...people thought after losing Malone and Stockton the Jazz would be in a long rebuilding campaign...Well, they are among the Western Conference elite even this season with all of the injuries...

Oopps sorry for the negativity, but to just sit back and grab the ankles and basically pay for a crappy team...sorry I can't just do that...
Give me a big, cold glass of reality on the rocks:
McHale MUST GO...or nothing changes!!!

Sorry to hear about that. It sounds like your post count will be dropping dramatically if this is the case.

Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

You can always resort to sarcasm. It works for me!

I'm seeing good things from KLove, keep up the good work.
Chuck Norris once challenged Lance Armstrong in a \"Who has more testicles?\" contest.

Chuck Norris won by 5.

Watching Love the other night reminded me of Ben Wallace in his prime.

I don't think he scored a point but he grabbed some ferocious rebounds and played some stingy defense. We've got a winner...Al scores 30 while Loves locks the paint down. Great trade now that I see the light...

Solid game in tonight's win.
I have absolutely NO ties to Minnesota. No family/friends there, no one I know that's a fan of anything Minnesota, and never set foot anywhere close to there.

I'm just a normal guy who randomly picked the wrong team to cheer for as a kid.

Pretty nice to see Love start the 2nd half. against the Warriors I think the Craig Smith breakout attempt has proven he is a solid role player and bench spark plug at best, which is fine by me. It is officially time for Love to be the starter at the 4.

Impressive game tonight in only 25 minutes, often times playing against Biedrins.

He needs to start putting together decent games with at least some sort of consistency. Until then...

If we traded OJ Mayo for this guy, why not play him? Start him! He might as well get as much playing time as possible to see how he pans out because we aren't going to get much more than that out of this season.

He is not nearly as good as Mayo scoring-wise but he has a knack for rebounding and if his confidence is up, he makes a positive impact on the game from what I've seen. If he gets in for 10 minutes, he is scoreless, gets blocked 3 times, and then sits on the bench and works on developing his ulcer.

At least offensively. The rebounds seem to be there every game. The same can really be said about every Wolves player not named Large Al Jefferson.

Has anyone else noticed that KLove's play has improved significantly since this thread started?

And we are on the 6th page, and at least 5 days into it.

I think we owe it to Mr. Love to keep the thread going. It's become his lucky charm, his motivation, his difference maker.

It's good for the team and for us too...

So please let's keep this thread rising towards the top.

A sample conversation between College Wolf and roundhouse--

College Wolf: "Unless he turns into Karl Malone, I will not support this trade."

roundhouse: "I agree. (I'm being sarcastic, so this statement is funny.)"

College Wolf: "Because, you know, we gave up the next MJ for Love."

roundhouse: "Definitely. (Sarcasm = hilarious)"

College Wolf: "Oh, who am I kidding, he's a BUST! I mean, I started dominating pick-up basketball against 6th graders after 20 games and K-Love still sucks after 30! BUST! BUST! BUST!"

roundhouse: "Great insight, CW, I couldn't agree more. (I'm definitely being sarcastic here. Wait-- am I? If I'm being sarcastic, then does that mean I think McHale actually made a great move? Because I don't. So which is it? I'm so confused).

And scene.

My point: Kevin Love is the next Karl Malone.

There is one voice in the wildernes that has always and continues to support the Kevin Love issue. This happens to be the NBA opinion I respect the most. Please read the following quote fron Stop-N Pop from last nights analysis over at Canis Hoopis:

It's nice to finally see Love get some play in the high post. Last night he made some mid-range shots from near the free throw line as well as a few entry passes from the high post. This is where he belongs. This is where he has belonged since the beginning of the year. No post ups. He's a Euro-style offensive big with a good ol' fashioned American banger streak on the boards. I'll say what I've said many, many times before: he'll end up being every bit as good a player as O.J. Mayo. He won't be the scorer but a double/double rebounding machine in the high post with the ability to space the floor with a mid-range jumper and interior passing skills is exactly what you want next to Big Al. This team has to win with offense. Most good teams do

18 points and 12 rebounds in only 21 minutes tonight. Its like Love's got a personal vendetta against Roundhouse and CW.

Now if someone could just make a thread about how much Jason Collins sucks. It wouldn't be that hard because he does. He'd probably improve to the point where he could dominate a junior varsity high scool game. Of course I'd settle for him being able to bounce a basketball or at least close his mouth when he breathes. He refuses to close his mouth when he breathes. That's unacceptable.

Kevin Love, not a bust.
