Season Record: 11-26

Bye-bye longest winning steak in the NBA. Oh well. Schedule gets a little tougher ahead. We still haven't beaten anyone in '09 with a winning record. Hmmmm. I predicted us to win the last 5 consecutive games, which is basically unheard of from me. I need to get back to some semblance of normalcy with my predictions.

PREDICTION:

Wolves 96 - Suns 110

Wolves 99

Suns have never matched up well with the Wolves, but now that teams are going to come in with their eyes open to this team wins are going to be harder.

Shaq will be meaningless against Al. Big guys don't stop Als shot, little guys do. They slap it out of his hands while he's thinking.

I think we will still lose this one.

Nice take. You clearly lived through the eternity that was his dribbling into the lane the last time he had the ball last night. In the NFL they talk about the QB's having an internal clock on getting rid of the ball... Al needs to speed his up a couple seconds.

I agree whole-heartedly on Al needing to speed up his internal post-clock. I have been working on doing the same when I'm going to work in post lately as well. Shaq rules. And Matt Barnes was the one guy the definitely would have made my favorite players list if I hadn't forgotten him. He was the #1 omission, SJack #2, G-Force #3, JRich #4, Kyle Lowry #5.

I completely forgot JRich was on this team. I'm not 10 times more excited to watch this game.

I was just thinking about how 2 years ago GS looked like the team with the perfect balance of up and comers with veteran talent. They were so fun to watch. Could McHale himself have bungled that roster any more in the last two years.

They are now out of the play-offs and playing 4 guys 10+ million this year (good thing Monta is giving most of his back).

Wolves- 89
suns- 105

Shaqovich will own Big Al down low and will cause him to not get very many minutes do to foul trouble. Foye will be outmanned by J-Rich and Steve "I am not white I am Canadian" Nash will get a double double.

Yuck. Matt Barnes is one of the biggest sleazebags in the NBA. You couldn't tell from watching his demeanor on the court, as he always has that little grin on his face, but he honestly is a dirty player. No sportsmanship at all... too many instances where he would take cheap shots at other players.

And this is all coming from a guy who lives in the Sacramento area.

I agree with the other things said about Al. I wouldn't be surprised if Foye was in over his head with his recent streak, but I honestly don't care for Al that much. Maybe I'm taking his 20-10 for granted, but he hasn't played a huge part in our win streak recently. If anything, I've seen him make more poor decisions than good ones in the past month or so.

Bonk as the mailman = priceless.

Shaqovich will pull down 25 and 10 easily.

Amare will pull down close to 20 and 10.

Yoleo = brilliant for his assessment of AL.

We don't match up well with this team.

Ever since the Suns traded for Shaq, long gone are our 'surprise wins' against them. They dealt for him just for the sole reason of stopping guys like Jefferson, Boozer or Duncan... who abused Amar'e (what's wrong with his name this season, lol?) over and over.

@ Yoleo,

Yeah because Big Al's 36 against the grizz the first time around didn't affect the outcome of the game. No Big AL means we have 3 wins this year period.

I think its less about the addition of Shaq and more about the coaching change. For a reason I cant fathom, Wolves play well against No-D D'Antoni teams. Its not like Big Al has had easy matchups against the Suns in the past.

Also, whats up with Amar'e adding an apostrophe to his name this year? Maybe Ill change my first name to M-i'ke

Agreed. Teams need scoring anchors they can count on. It gives Glory Boy Foye a chance to get it done in the 4th.
