That is an interesting one. He was never playing even 15 minutes a game during those stretches and that was the very good Blazers team with Pippen, Sabonis, Rasheed Wallace, Detlief Shrempf and Brian Grant at Forward/Center positions.

That smells like more of a Steve Young behind Joe Montana situation but it is a solid example never the less.
