Season Record: 1-3

The Celtics are back, healthy, and on a mission. Rasheed looks like he has been playing with them for years. I don't see how this ends well.

PREDICTION:

Wolves 81 - Celtics 103

No doubt, they're playing terrific as a 'team'.

Very early to call, but Rasheed looks poised to win 6th man...

Yea we no chance whatsoever of winning this game. Maybe it will be a bit closer than I think because the Celtics are looking past us but they'll still blow us out.

Wolves 88
Celtics 109

Unfortunately, I missed the Clippers game and won’t be able to post my usual brilliant analysis (By the way, thanks for the compliments a couple of you have given. I won’t let it get to my head).

Luckily, there’s not much analysis needed for this one. The Celtics are the best team in the league and the Timberwolves are one of the worst. If you’re going to the game to see KG, I suggest wearing some old clothes. This one’s going to be a bloodbath. Our only hope is that Rondo tries to sabotage the Celtics now that he got his extension in order to get back at the front office for talking about trading him in the offseason.

This will be my first time at a Wolves game since before Vince Carter gave up on the Raptors. Either the amazing Timberwolves marketing has finally gotten through to me this season or I have an unhealthy obsession with Kevin Garnett.

Prediction:
Wolves 83 – Celtics 107

Sadly, this is the apex of good opponents this entire season. We don't get the Lakers until April (only one time as the visiting team). Other than maybe Orlando, the rest are "rando/novelty" teams. Better enjoy this one. If last year's home blowout is any indication, we are losing this one big time.

Celtics - 98 Wolves - 76

SUBPLOT, and YWG I think you will find this astounding having not been to a game in many years: The majority of "Wolves fans" WILL CHEER FOR BOSTON tomorrow night. Watch. It is absolutely sickening and truly a spectacle. It happened Friday at the Cleveland game and it will happen tomorrow. It just goes to show you we have a LOOONNGG way to goto win back the masses. I wouldn't be surprised if the team folds/merges/moves before we even sniff the playoffs.

The "cheering for the other team" phenomenon has just inspired me to do a write-up on that very subject.

There is nothing wrong w/ cheering for Boston as far as I'm concerned. After all, KG WAS the Minnesota Timberwolves for over half their existance and the only good thing that has ever happened for us. It was our own management's fault that we never surrounded him w/ anything resembling a supporting cast.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and pick the Wolves to win.

I remember two seasons ago (I think it was two) when we played them close the two meetings we had, and really should have won both games.

For the remaining ex-Celtics, Jefferson + Gomes, this is still a lil personal I think, and would hope that they'd wanna stick it to their old team.

My prediction:

Big Al: 32 pts, 18 rebs
Gomes: 18pts, 10 rebs
Turbo: 24 pts, 3 steals, 1 airball
Flynn: 13 pts, 11 assists

Wolves-95
Celtics-91

(btw, I know I'm probably dreaming here...but do think it'll be closer than ppl think)

91% of our points are going to be scored by 33% of our players? Hmmm...

That was a long write-up. I'm not sure what you're so angry about.

As for last year, no one in their right mind would pay money to see the Wittman-led wolves and not be there to see KG/Lebron. I don't know about you but Lebron and KG are my 2 favorite players in the league.

The NBA atmosphere is the way it is because that's how Stern wants it. With all the piped in music and other crap all game long. Plus among the 4 major sports nba fans are the most lamest anyways when it comes to cheering and whatnot

Ok. We can agree to disagree. I just am flummoxed with the concept of cheering for an opposing team in your own building. Last year was passable, but it happened again Friday against Cleveland and will happen again tonight. I think that is a little unusual. It is also unusual to riducule a guy for yelling something funny/true at LeBron. At least let people do their thing.
