Every time I watch Rubio highlights and seeing some of the passes that he does, I just think.....How does this guy come up with or even think to do what he just did???? It's crazy. His basketball IQ and creativity is insane. I don't think Steve Nash can even do or think to do some of the passes that Rubio does.

Can't wait to see it in person in 2011!!!!!!!!!

As I mentioned before, the first phase of the Euroleague ended tonight. The draw to divide the qualifying 16 teams into 4 groups of 4 teams will be held on Monday in Barcelona. However, I just noticed some very interesting fact: regardless of the draw's results, Rubio's and Pekovic's teams will be in the same group!!! The other 2 teams of their group will probably be Maccabi Tel Aviv ( Israel ) and Efes Pilsen ( Turkey ).

That's amazing, Barcelona and Panathinaikos are considered 2 of the top 4 European teams this past decade, Maccabi Tel-Aviv used to be a top 4 team as well. Talk about "a group of death"!

This will be quite interesting to see their respective teams play against each other.

King's Cup --> Copa del Rey
Royal Cup --> Copa Real

Thanks for the explanation. So Real Madrid means "Royal Madrid"? That's interesting, because I know that they were Franco's favorite team, and he and the Royal family were rivals.

It's more complicated. Yes, they were Franco's favorite team, but Real Madrid was fundated in 1902 (Barcelona in 1899), when Alfonso XIII reigned in Spain. In addition, Franco decided that Juan Carlos I (Actual King) was his successor.

Ricky Rubio is the co-MVP of the week.

Extended highlights of Ricky's last Euroleague game vs. Montepaschi

Carmelo Anthony: "It's a big game for us. Do I believe we have to win? No. But it's a must-win for us."

Re:RICKY RUBIO WATCH! 2 years ago #40922

Awesome, thanks. I really enjoyed those highlights. Man, Ricky looks good! Howl to you.

14 points, 10 assists, 4 steals. Nice.
Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

Unlike Flynn and Sessions, I think Rubio would be really good in the Triangle offense. He's not a ball dominant PG, and gets everyone involved with his amazing court vision. Imagine if we had some dynamic play-making wing players... Rubio could dominant as our PG running the offense!

Kahn-man just needs to draft well and bring in the talent.

Ricky is such a stud.

I can't wait until he's playing for us so I can start actually enjoying the wolves.

Rubio + Wall in 2010/11. Believe it.

Chuck Norris won by 5.

Well, the Euroleague draw is over. Rubio's team (Barcelona) and Pekovic's team (Panathinaikos) are in Group E with Partizan Belgrad ( Serbia ) and Maroussi ( another Greek team ).

Pekovic and Rubio will meet twice in February: on 2/10 in Barcelona, and on 2/24 at Athens. I cannot wait to see them square off. BTW, I forgot to mention it earlier: Panathinaikos has another Wolves 2009 PG draftee- Nick Calathes. However, he was immediately traded to the Mavs for a second round pick this year.

Awesome! I have to find a way to watch this game! Didn't Calathes and Rubio face off in the European Champiomship with their respective countries? I've seen Calathes play once for Greece, and I think it was that game. He looked really good. Can't wait for this!

Barca suffered their 2nd loss of the season 60-59 against Valencia.

Rubio didn't have a good game as well, 5 points on 1/7 shooting and 3/5 from the line. He did have 6 assists, 4 steals and 2 turnovers in 25 minutes.
