Hi guys. This is muy first post from a Spanish fan living in the UK.

Ricky Rubio plays for my Team, Regal Barcelona and as you already know has won the Spanish Cup which is the second most important competition in Spain. This guy along with Pau Gasol is by far the best talent Spain have ever produced. I may be biased but I believe Ricky is already NBA ready in spite of his young age.
His defense is fantastic I think even for NBA standards and his dribbling and creativity are top notch too. He has also improved his outside shooting although he very seldom shoots the basket, preferring to pass the ball to his teammates. I don't think he will ever be a great scorer but he could lead one day the NBA in assists. In Europe and Spain he is leading already the stats in steals, one of his best attributes.

Well, you can see for yourself on the link below the three games he played in this tournement. He was not at his best except in the final against Real Madrid. Still he was good enough to be the best point guard in the competition.

It's going to be so much fun watching Rubio and Wall play together. Can't wait.

Why would the Wolves trade Ricky Rubio to New Jersey?

Tonight Ricky Rubio's team Regal Barcelona defeated our guy Nikola Pekovic's team Panathinaikos 70 - 67.

Rubio didn't have a good game. Here are his numbers:

Mins Pts 2FG 3FG FT R Ast St TO
12:32 3 0/0 0/1 3/4 3 1 0 1

Nikola Pekovic scored 20 points in 22 minutes, but none after the first shot of the second half. Nikola's numbers:

Mins Pts 2FG 3FG FT R Ast St TO
22:09 20 7/9 0/0 6/7 1 0 0 3

With this win Regal Barcelona is on top of Group E(there are 4 groups) with a record of 3-1. While Panathinaikos is eliminated from advancing with a record of 0-4. Panathinaikos were the Euroleague champions last year. Top 2 teams from that Group(group consist of 4 teams) advances to QUARTERFINAL PLAYOFFS, which will consist of 8 teams playing a best of five series. Then the winners advances to the final four and play NCAA style, one game elimination to determine the champion.

Pekovic scored 20 of his teams first 39 points.
I am the only one but who cares:
Trade Ricky Rubio, he will never be a superstar most people think!

I don't want to trade Ricky. We can't.

Only way I trade him is if we end up with Both Wall and Turner in this draft. Otherwise, we keep Ricky.

I know, most people wouldnt do it.
I have watched him a lot this season and just is not a player we need. He can pass and has a very high basketball IQ, but will never be teams first scoring option. He even never plays in the last minutes of a dramatic game.

Steve Nash and Jason Kidd are not first options either and look at how well they play. Rubio has the ability to run the court and distribute like they do. So, having a good scorer with that will make us a really dangerous team.

I hear your point, and even agree somewhat to a certain extent, but isn't that the same thing people were saying about Jennings last year?? I think Rubio has been too hyped and too good for too long in his young career to not truly have a TON of real NBA star potential. All of the highly touted guys from back in their early to mid teen years have actually been really panning out nicely in the pros lately (Lebron, Ty Evans, OJ Mayo, Jennings, Rose).

Woah that is a crazy playoff format. I like it. The best of 5 series ensures that most likely the best 4 teams make it to the end and then they duke it out in single elimination.

Yeah..I like it too. It makes it really interesting and it doesn't drag too long like in a 7 game series.
