Season Record: 1-6
It's a back-to-back, and on the road vs. a "high octane" team. I suspect we won't physically be able to keep up with them all game long. There's also a good chance our defense is atrocious and they score a ton of points.
PREDICTION:
Wolves 107 - Warriors 125

The Warriors are also on the tail end of a back-to-back. They lost to the KINGS tonight 120-107 and now sit at 1-4. Surprisingly, the Kings are a mediocre 3-4 right now. I wonder when we’ll get our third win? Hopefully before December.
As bad as we are, I say this game is still a toss up. The players the Warriors throw out on the court aren’t a lot better than what the Wolves have and their star player is grumpy.
I don’t know how this plays into things, but Big Nate probably weighs more than their entire starting lineup combined. I say have him post up Biedrins all night and just keep feeding him (and keep passing him the ball).
Whoever sucks less will come out on top in this one.
Prediction:
Wolves 102 – Warriors 95

Yes, the Warriors are also on a back-to-back. However, they have more veterans and are actually at home. Being at home is a big advantage for them.

True, but there aren't going to be many realistic opportunities to pick the Wolves this year. We'll probably lose this one too, but the chances of a win are better than usual. I choose to ignore facts like where the game is being played to convince myself to pick us.

Rookie PG Battle 2: Flynn versus Curry
I'll predict the same result. Flynn wins the stat-line battle but the Wolves lose the War. Curry won't be strong enough or good enough defender to keep Flynn out of the paint. Golden State doesn't have the front court to make the Wolves back court sag on defense so I don't think we'll see the open 3-pointer brigade.
110 GS
101 Wolves
Wolves in it to the end.

We should get crapped on tonight. I don't forsee us being able to defend GS's 3 point shooters. Expect a 20 plus game for my man-crush Anthony Morrow. I predict our next win will be at home against a surprising, somewhat competitive team.

I love my Wolves, but I thought this was supposed to be a "fun" team to watch. What's so fun about 36% shooting? Clank. And what happened to Flynn? He was known as a guy who could get to the rim whenever he wanted and score or get fouled. Now, he barely gets to the line, and assists are scarce. I know it's a work in progress, but I think they should unleash Flynn and let him create and drive to the rim. Rambis will let him have more freedom, after he learns how to run the triangle. It's hard to watch at this point, but watch I will. Go Wolves!

haha nice one - I almost missed that quip.
The Warriors are favored by 6.5.
I'm personally excited to see the Bay Boyz as I have Randolph/Curry/Maggettee all on my WCOnlyFantasy team. I also think Stevie J is an underrated stud. Anyway, despite the fact that Biedrins and Turiaf may be out (Stonelight, I need that game thread!), I still think the Warriors literally run away with this one. Our motto is "United We Run", but I think the opposition will be doing most of the running tonight.

Maybe Nellie decides not to play any of his contracted players and instead plays all 5 positions himself with gumby like limbs, blocking shots with one hand while dunking with the other and in the 2nd half maybe giving the kid from section 324 his run, who'll pick up 9 points and 12 assists.
Wolves 51
The City 37
I mean,
Wolves 94
The City 87

Sorry this is so late, but I had to snap back to reality after watching that brutal beating by Portland. It really makes you wonder if the Wolves can compete at any level. Trying to focus on the Boston game seem likes a distant memory that didn't really happen and we lost that game. Thinking about the game winner dropped by Wilkins not only makes we wonder why he has absolutely no role with the team recently, but should we really be ranked at 29th above the Nets because of that. At least Lopez gives a care about his team and teammates, I just don't know about Big Al. Anywayz, no time like the present to start this preview at least before it comes on TV.
Ok, so lets switch on the positivity light for a couple seconds here. Nelson is like the most hated coach in the NBA and no one hates him more than his own players. MIP candidate Randolph should be next on the "out of Oakland" bus sitting in the back seat with Jackson. Curry probably wishes he got drafted by MN to develop with a young team under the tutelage of the patient and trustworthy Rambis. Do I think we win this game, well I'm having a hard time saying yes, but yes.
Depth Chart:
PG: Monta Ellis, C.J. Watson, Acie Law
SG: Stephen Curry, Anthony Morrow
SF: Kelenna Azubuike, Corey Maggette
PF: Stephen Jackson, Anthony Randolph
C: Mikki Moore
Injured: Andris Biedrins, Brandan Wright, Ronny Turiaf, Devean George
Nelson's Dog House: Speedy Claxton
Guard Battle: First of all forget about Watson and Law, as of matter of fact, I'm surprised they've played at all with the heavy min rotation that Nelson bombards his players with. Ellis is currently leading the Warriors in scoring at 18 ppg and adding 6apg, 4rpg, and 2spg to boot. He only had 9 pts on 4/11 shooting vs the Kings and should look to have a great game against the inexperience of Flynn, not to mention that the GS crown can get mighty loud sometimes. Curry, the player I'm most excited to see tonight has been pretty decent at 9ppg, 3rpg, and a very good 6 apg. The G that scares me the most is Morrow though, we all know that this dude can go off on the scoring side of the game; he's avging 13 ppg, but look out and cross your fingers. The advantage for me goes to GS, if only because they are not completely disgusted with Nelson, YET.
Forward Battle: I might as well just group all GS players into one position with as odd as the player sizes and lineups can be. I'm going to go ahead and just give the advantage to Minny because this half of the team is disgruntled and if we can get off to a hot start they should give up. Maybe. Jackson is good for 18, 3, and 3, but could just as easily be disruptive and lose the game single-handedly. Randolph's avgs of 10 and 6 would increase exponentially if Nelson game him some real burn. He's not happy and I feel for him, he may however get some extended time tonight with all the injuries. Azubuike, I like, similar to Sessions by coming up through the Dleague, dude is appreciative of being in the NBA, he's avging 12 ppg, 5rpg, and a block. He is one of those players where the stat line doesn't describe his contribution, however when you have a team as lost as the Warriors, you kind of wish he had a chance to help a contender. Maggette can be somewhat of an enigma, he dropped 20 pts on the Kings which is well above his avg of 13 ppg. Don't you sometimes wonder why Baron Davis and Maggette switched teams?
Big Man (well Kinda): I think its poss that we might see Turiaf or Biedrins, if not: Randolph will be anchoring behind Moore. Mikki has obviously seen better years, his stat line is non existent at this point and hopefully we can really put this team away down on the block tonight!
Well that about wraps it up. Wolves 117 Warriors 113
