I like that deal alot but I don't think Philly, a team looking to shed salary, would want Jefferson, when they already have a log jam there with Brand, Speights, and Young

Maybe not.

Would they take just expiring contracts? We could certainly do that.

After a lot of thought, I have COMPLETELY changed my mind on how I think we should handle the trade deadline. Write up should be up in the AM.

So I got to work this morning, and as I'm tired, briefly perusing the sports section, I think:

"oh wait! Beasley got traded to Toronto for Bosh last night! where's the write up..?"

Not to sound prophetic, as I don't think this to happen, just funny that my dream seemed so real I was convinced for a couple minutes.

What about trading with the Kings for more than just Kevin Martin?

Say something like Big Al and someone like Sessions or Brewer, for Kevin Martin, Jason Thompson, and their first round pick? We could also take a bad salary from them for expiring contracts if they insisted, or to make up the salary difference per the CBA.

I'd definitely do that. Martin vs Al is pretty much a wash, except Martin gets paid a lot less than Al. Jason Thompson would be a nice center next to Love. Plus another lottery pick would come in handy.

IDK, of all the players to deal Al for, Kevin "Mr. Glass" Martin really makes me nervous. I don't know that I've ever seen Jason Thompson play. Is he a true center? If their pick was involved I'd consider it.

Jason Thompson plays like if he was a 6'8 SF. Weird, considering he's lanky, but a legit 6'11.

I still like Jason Thompson. He's young and a great rebounder (and can score.) He's definitely better than Hollins.

Re:OFFICIAL 2010 Trade Deadline Talk Thread 4 Weeks, 1 Day ago Howls: 36
So Kahn has made it very clear no one of our 'core' is moving before the trade deadline. He has made it clear the rights to Rubio are part of the core, while the rights to Pekovic - not necessarily.

I still think there's a decent chance of a big trade going down. In 2-3 days some teams will be getting desperate and that's what Kahn is waiting for. What are we probably offering?

- expirings of Blount and Cardinal
- picks (plethora of 2nds, probably Utah 1st)
- rights to Pekovic

Teams that are currently turning that down will be getting desperate for ANY move soon, mostly cost-cutting... so maybe someone will change their stance.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens. I still say that any, and everyone, on this team is tradeable...

We definitely have no "untouchables."
