No way in hell. Not even close.
Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

Flynn and the Bobcats pick wouldn't be enough, but Big Al and that pick might.

I personally would love to get Evan Turner!

BTW Silent ABABU helped me get a cab last weekend after the bars. He ran about a block and flagged one down. HAHA he is the man.

Please note that my trade proposal was Jonny + Jazz' pick + Bobcats' pick. So that's one more pick. It's still not good enough, but it's better. And would no one accept that? Two picks possibly below #20 and a future solid player in Jonny. Why the heck not?

Even though it makes sense to me, in reality it really doesn't

There's no way we can't take Turner second. He is exactly what this team needs, and would (theoretically) be great in the Triangle.

Understandable logic. Question though...if Blake Griffin came out this year instead of last and there were no injury concerns with him, would you take him over Turner?

Of course. You definitely HAVE to take Griffin. Just because Turner is a good fit for us, doesn't mean he's better or more valuable than Griffin.

It's the same as John Wall... would we pass on him because someone like Turner fits our team better? No.

You can always make trades after drafting players.

Totally agree. But now what if it were the Blake Griffin from freshman year coming out this year, when his numbers where good but not great and you could still see all the talent he had? Would you still take him over Turner?

That's a little how I see Derrick Favors - as a freshman year Blake Griffin. Except that he's a better fit for us because he has more length (Griffin has short arms for a big man and I read the other day that a Georgia Tech coach claims Favors measured out at a 9'1" standing reach) and innate shot-blocking instincts.

Like I said, I don't want to be a total buzz kill...so I'll leave the reality enforcement to CW...

In sports illustrated this week i came across an article that stated that if the Nets don't get the number 1 pick a.k.a. john wall that they could be interested in trading down or out of the first round. Now if this were true and hypothetically speaking lets say that we get the #1 pick and the nets get the #2 pick.

So we would go ahead to draft John Wall and then since rubio would play for the Nets why not go ahead and trade him to the Nets for the #2 pick. Thus they get a point guard with a bright future and the best news we get to use the 2nd pick on Evan Turner and leave this draft with the top 2 players. John Wall and Evan Turner. How sick would that be.

The draft is very similar to that of one year ago, when only the top-2 picks were set, the field was open after that. Wall, Turner and then a bunch of unpolished PFs, Xavier Henry and maybe Cole Aldrich. Unless one of those guys has a monser ending to the season, I don't see anyone getting ahead of Wall and Turner. And that's where we need to pick.

It would be wonderful to get Wall, just because we could trade either of the Wall/Rubio duo (more likely Rubio) for Evan Turner and have the best young backcourt in the league.

I figured if we get Wall then Rubio is naturally going to be traded for the highest draft pick we can get for him in 2011 draft (our own pick from the clippers). If we can do it this year all the better.
