In sports illustrated this week i came across an article that stated that if the Nets don't get the number 1 pick a.k.a. john wall that they could be interested in trading down or out of the first round. Now if this were true and hypothetically speaking lets say that we get the #1 pick and the nets get the #2 pick.

So we would go ahead to draft John Wall and then since rubio would play for the Nets why not go ahead and trade him to the Nets for the #2 pick. Thus they get a point guard with a bright future and the best news we get to use the 2nd pick on Evan Turner and leave this draft with the top 2 players. John Wall and Evan Turner. How sick would that be.

That would be beyond amazing! We gotta stop winning games!!!

I figured if we get Wall then Rubio is naturally going to be traded for the highest draft pick we can get for him in 2011 draft (our own pick from the clippers). If we can do it this year all the better.

Yeah... that works for me.

I got the first pick in the second attempt
I know that Wall is the best player in this draft, but I would more like that we get Turner.
I think Wall could do the same thing like Marbury

SKY IS THE LIMIT

no way would john wall be the next starbury. A lot of players would enjoy the opportunity to be the face of the franchise and that is the type of player you will be drafting if you pick john wall. Team will be really good with a great core to move forward so heres praying for the ping pong balls to go our way

Yeah I have to agree. There have been no indications whatsoever that Wall will become the "next Starbury."

For crying out loud... someone new is getting the "Next Starbury" label?!?! I'd sure love to have Tyreke "Marbury" Evans right now.

Marbury is not a mold, he is a one super crazy SOB.

I just read that

I just read that on HoopsHype via Nets Daily...how sweet would that be!?!?!

We land the #1, take Wall. Nets trade #2 pick (Evan Turner) to us for Rubio!
I'd then trade Al + expirings for IGGY and Dalembert as already discussed leaving us with this ridiculous lineup:

PG-John Wall/Flynn
SG-Evan Turner/Brewer
SF-Andre Iguodala/Brewer/Gomes
PF-Kevin Love/Gomes
C-Dalembert/Hollins/???
How cost a house in Fridley?

Oh my god, that would be amazing.

I'd almost let CW Jr. grow up to be a TWolves fan if that happened...

I like that trade but i think that if everything does happen and we get wall and turner, then it will probably be Al and Sessions (which means our flip will have worked)and possibly expirings or whatever else it takes to get the deal done.

I just took a spin of the ol lottery generator for the hell of it, and you guessed it, we got the 5th pick.

The Kings got 1st (Wall + Ty Evans NOT FAIR) Wizards 2nd 76ers 3rd

5. 4th/Favors

1. #2 - Evan Turner
2. #1 - John Wall
3. #3 - Derrick Favors
4. #3 - Derrick Favors
5. #3 - Derrick Favors
6. #4 - Derrick Favors
7. #4 - DeMarcus Cousins
8. #5 - Wesley Johnson
9. #4 - Derrick Favors
10.#4 - DeMarcus Cousins

I should have quit while I was ahead. Annoying.

ooOO MAN. Great question. I think i go Turner>Griffin. Griff was a product of a "weak draft." Remember his projections in the 2008 draft? He was in the 8-10 range.

WHY DID YOU KEEP GOING!?!? How depressing

But actually, if you think about it the other way, only the 1st roll matters. So in that way, you did awesome. Did you get Turner on the first time that you actually generated the lottery or when you first went to the site? When you first go to the site, it just puts the teams in order of their record, it's not random, so that one doesn't count.

Either way, Turner or Wall YEEEEESSSSSSS!!!

I think Wall is the best draft prospect since Durant 3 years ago. I'm not saying he's going to be as good as Durant (because in likelihood he's not, Durant is AWESOME), but since him, including every other player in Durant's draft class.

I agree with you that Turner > Griffin

Griffin > Favors

Griffin = Cousins, but when you consider Cousins is a headcase with serious anger management issues, Griffin > Cousins
