We don't play very well in back to back games. We are 1-8 in the second game of back to backs.

Wolves 96
Grizz 99

It's funny how at the beginning of the year you expect Brewer's shot to miss, but now when he shoots, you expect it to go in.

Hats off to Brewer for working his butt off.

I love Brewer and K Love's hustle. Other players go out and play, but you could see in Brewer and K Love face that they really want to win. Gotta keep guys like that around!

We are on a 3-game winning streak, and Memphis is on a 2-game losing streak.

We are bound to win (if you look at those stats at least )

Wolves 109
Grizzlies 107

P.S. Woo, I finally won another timberpup - not because I'm good at guessing the score but because everybody else was waaay off last night

Oh yeah, Brewer is really getting better. I mean, he's shooting 46% this season - and when you think that he was like 30% in the first 20 games - that makes those 46% look really impressive. BTW he's scoring 13,7 PPG against Memphis this season while shooting 75% from 3-point land. WOW at the percentage

The Mavericks were the first team we have beat this year with an animal name. I think it is a trend.

Wolves 109, Grizzlies 102

Four in a row baby!

What a fun game to watch. We were down 10 after the first quarter and just kept scrapping the rest of the way. When it came down to crunch time, we were clutch again. Absolutely stunning.

Game Notes:
- Gomes scored 20 in the first half and was the only reason we were really in the game. Then after doing nothing most of the second half, he hit a big 3 to tie the game late in the fourth and another big 2 a little later.

- Corey Brewer is a stud. That's all there is to say. He scored 13 points in the first 6 minutes of the third quarter and made a couple of awesome defensive plays. I love the this new Corey Brewer.

- Ramon Sessions had his best game of the year. He was aggressive getting to the basket and tried to push the pace whenever possible. Hopefully we see a lot more of this.

- Big Al was a cold-blooded killer down the stretch, making his last 8 shots. Just a great game from him.

- Kevin Love made a dagger 3 to put us up 5 with 1:13 left. He went down with a scary knee injury earlier in the second half, but came back and did some good work in the final few minutes.

- Jonny wasn't having a horrible game or anything. Sessions was really good tonight and never gave Rambis an excuse to take him out. Jonny was fun to watch jumping up and down on the bench down the stretch. He's an awesome teammate.

- Our defense was pretty solid tonight. Memphis hit quite a few tough, contested shots, but we didn't let it phase us.

- We only had 7 turnovers in the game. Holy crap.

Hopefully the Wolves' recent play starts to fill some more seats. The guys are starting to figure things out and are really fun to watch. I'm as giddy as a school girl.

FOUR IN A ROW BABY! CAN I GET A HELL YA?

(that's my expert game summary. I'm as surprised as anyone that I'm not gainfully employed as an NBA columnist and somehow ended up in Sales. It's a mystery)

Re:Game Thread: Wolves vs Memphis Grizzlies (2/6) 2 years ago #41823

Wow... two great games in a row to watch! I don't even know what else to say! I better stop before I say something dumb! Oh wait, I even predicted us to win woohoo!

I didn't think we'd come back, but man, we sure played well. I do like the Grizz players though, they have a solid team.

Nice player recap YWG, that summed it up pretty well. Nothing else to add, I'm tired and my arm hurts.

Go Wolves, 4 in a row!

Re:Game Thread: Wolves vs Memphis Grizzlies (2/6) 2 years ago #41824

I guess I'm not done yet. The Grizz bench = SUCKTASTIC. Wow, their bench blows. If they are going to lose Gay, they should trade him to us first for something like Gomes and Brewer. That would really help both teams. I'd hate to trade Gomes, so maybe Wilkins + Brewer + draft picks.

We shot 55.6%, had 26 assists, and only 7 turnovers. Definitely one of our best games of the year. We've been playing really well lately. The recently small rotation seems to be working wonders?

It will be interesting to see what happens coming up, because our schedule gets a lot harder soon.

Just add Pavlobrick to the inactive list and activate Alando Tucker. Even if he plays every 3 games, I'd much rather see him ready to get in than Pavlo.

Oh, and a minor note. SCREW YOU ZACH RANDOLPH!!!! SCREW YOU!!!!!!!!!

I almost forgot K-Love already had his "sophomore curse" this season, so I guess he's immune to everything right now. Because that looked... yeah.

Finally I was pretty close with the prediction.

How is Silent Ababu? I've not seen him in at least a year.

This team is really interesting. Are they becoming good? Are they becoming average? Are they still a bad team on a hot streak? We just don't know. Turbo's stretch of play has shown no signs of a let up. Roundhouse, have you any other thoughts on Turbo? Are you warming up to him?

I will argue that players like Love and Turbo are almost as difficult to find as that 1a player. They provide so much in so many different categories, without glaring weaknesses, while maintaining high energy for 30 minutes a night.

Al Jeezy, hats off, I've got nothing but positive energy for ya. The biggest "trade Al" proponent here, he laid it out in the fourth.

Start Sessions.

Five in a row, do work Wolves!
